Not sure it's really 64 oz.. and many items were delivered broken (silicone liquid fine)

This is my first time using this 2 part silicone but so far I'm really impressed with this kit. Having never really worked with it before, I love the fact that you get 64 oz to work with in this kit so I have enough to practice with mold making a few times and still have enough left over to use for the final mold.You get 2 bottles in the kit, each of them is 32 oz for a total of 64 oz of mixed silicone. The bottles are labeled A and B and just like with epoxy, you mix equal parts of each together and wait for it to cure. I've been very happy with the results so far.In addition to the silicone, you also get a pair of cheap gloves (they're tissue paper thin, I would just get some latex gloves if I were you) as well as mixing sticks, mixing cups, and pipettes for mixing up smaller amounts.My only minor gripe is one of the black plastic nozzles that screws onto the top of the bottle was damaged in the box so it's unusable. It's easy enough to pour out the top of the bottle, still it would be nice if the parts that could get broken were wrapped in bubble wrap or something.Overall I'm really happy with this silicone kit. This will let me get the hang of working with silicone and for only $38 (at the time of this review), I would definitely get more of this same brand. I would definitely recommend this kit if you've been wanting to start working with silicone.

TLDR: Decent silicone mold making set. I do think you have to really take your time and stir everything well, as it seems this will not setup good if you don’t take your time and measure accurately. I would not say this is good for very large molds or super advanced stuff, as it just doesn’t seem as durable as some other brands once it is set, but I do think this is great for smaller projects and beginners to get a feel for how to make molds. You may want to go with a bit more professional set if you are used to a higher quality silicone and are doing a large project!

I've never attempted to make a silicone mold before, and this was not simple to figure out.... I expected it to be a simple craft. That being said, it's also NOT clear or bubble free... I don't have any fancy equipment like a vacuum meant for this? So my molds were an epic fail. Perhaps if you are skilled at mold making with silicone and have the equipment this will be great for you. It firm's up nicely and seems like it could be nice quality, I just haven't had success yet and apparently need help 😅I'll update if I get better results next go around after watching some diy vids.

This is a great kit for making custom molds. If you have a solid original that can withstand the molding process, then you can recreate it in other mediums by making a silicone mold of it with this kit. The instructions are kinda confusing, but you basically find the object you want to duplicate, create a form around the object to ensure you have a complete mold, mix the silicone mold making materials 1:1 (by vol or wt) in a single direction to avoid a lot of bubbles, let the mixture sit and gas off for a few minutes, then pour it into your form and let it sit for about four hours (I let it sit overnight just to be sure). It is easy to demold from the original object and creates a fairly flexible mold (I used it for resin). This mold kit contains all that you need to get started—it is for experienced molders, or bold beginners with good GoogleFu. This silicone is food safe, so you could get really creative with chocolate molds, cake molds, marzipan molds, etc. Overall it is a little costly for the $$$, but is worth it if you need food safe silicone. This would make an awesome gift for the “creative” in your life.
