Paper type not communicated correctly to printer
I specified 'Other Matte Photo Paper' via my graphics package (and loaded the same in the printer), but the printer kept insisting I was trying to print plain paper.Chatted with HP Support and to cut a long story short (over 5 hours chat!), the printer was no longer insisting the paper was plain paper, but was always sending a different type to the one I entered in the app (regardless of what I selected). Only by printing via HP Smart could I get the app and the printer to agree - but a) I want to be able to print from my graphics packages and b) when printing from HP Smart, the size of the print was not actual size (critical for my use).HP Support tried insisting the printer was working because the error did not occur via HP Smart. I rejected this saying that 3 other HP printers I have had allowed me to print from my graphics package. I didn't mention the size issue as I wasn't aware of it at the time.Returned to Amazon.

The quality of HP printers has Seriously deteriorated …
I bought this printer to replace a much cheaper HP printer that I thought would be good enough to replace my old Officejet printer. But “buy cheap, buy twice” - I got sick of trying to work out what the various glowing lights meant when the cheap printer wasn’t working, so I thought investing in another Officejet printer would be the solution. My last HP Officejet printer lasted only about 3 years, but during the time that it worked, it was reliable and fairly quiet. This new Officejet printer is so noisy - it literally shakes the filing cabinet that it’s sitting on when it starts up. The build is of low quality. The menu system on the touch screen is more complicated than the last one was, but at least it has a menu system, so I am not having to decode glowing coloured lights that resemble a scene from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. So one star for having a menu system, and another star for having a good enough print quality.

Great multifunction printer
This is the usual HP quality and reliable printer with a good scanner.I use it wired on the local network so print to it from Apple Mac, MacBook, iPhone, Ipad etc.Only issue I've had which will no doubt be fixed in a firmware update is that sometimes it holds on to the page as it's expecting to print on the second side.

So far so good
Simple office use with a small footprint and bonus that it will print envelopes and has a sheet feeder.Quite easy to set up and good functionality for the price

No support for Mac.
Cheap junk. HP demand you have an account. Won’t print double sided. Seemingly won’t scan from the printer to a computer. Wouldn’t recognise one of the ink cartridges supplied. Sent it back. Seemingly zero support for Mac users.

Unable to review performance - no ink
Can't review printer performance, as upon installation, the promised instant 3 month ink wasn't showing up in the cartridge (as reported by the printer screen).
