This is the first ever reissue on CD of this live album recorded in 1996. The band rocks hard and delivers an amazingly tight and punchy sound to Dion tunes like "You Move Me" and "King of the New York Streets."

Absolutely killer stuff
In hindsight, I can't believe it took me so long to get this. I can only echo the other great reviews of this killer live set from Dion, Scott Top Ten (sorry, Mr. Kempner, but you'll kind of always pop into my head as Top Ten - yes, I know that was a LONG time ago, but I'm kind of old), and company. Dion nearly always swings, this being no exception, but as others have noted, it rocks harder than virtually anything else he has done in his career. This is swaggering, rocker-bar-band stuff without a hint of nostalgia, and the singer is a simply a member of the band. Dion has always been an under-appreciated rock'n'roll singer and this only goes to elevate his case. The songs are tough, touching and mostly otherwise unavailable (and the version of You Move Me here gives it a much more raw feel than the studio version, as does this Drip Drop). If you even remotely think you ought to get the record - you owe it to yourself. Click buy right now.

Rock On, Mr. D!
If you ever wondered what Dion would sound like backed by, say...Rockpile, here's youranswer. This is the Dion you've never heard before, as lead singer and rhythm guitarist ofa real R&R band, at a club date, doing an hour of crunchy, propulsive, take-no-prisonersrock music. Not even a "Wanderer" in sight. Given that this show took place more than20 years ago when Dion was 57, it's unlikely to be repeated. This is your chance to hearyet another facet of his skill set. He and the Little Kings pull it off with TOTAL aplomb.Sure. It's a cliche. But...PLAY IT LOUD. HEY, you're listening to the King of the NY Streets!

DION the Modern Rocker and his mates!
I'll keep this simple folks. No dust has gathered under Dion's feet. He is rocking forward and this band moves like a rocket. This is a gritter sound of a man who NEVER stopped in creating his sound. This record will surprise you. Very daring for him to take this twist and it turns out alright.

Dion Rocks! Live!
This is a great, great Cd. I bought it a few years ago. Treat yourself and buy this! This is what live Rock & Roll was meant to be. Dion does get better and better and the guys hes's playing with on this damn well know what they're doing. My brother who collects guitars knew Dion played guitar, but he was blown awy when he heard this Cd. Again, BUY IT!

Dion with a tight guitar based band
I totally missed this release when it came out in 1996. Maybe it was me, maybe the record company didn't promote it, but we all missed out - this is a fantastic recording. Dion went with a stripped down band - three guitars and drums, recorded live. But with one exception, these are all new songs written for this band. Every cut is a winner. If you are a Dion fan like me and you also missed out on this, get it! You won't regret it. Ace picked up the rights for it and as always have done a fine job with its production.
