Caudalie Resveratrol - Lift Lightweight Firming Cashmere Cream

I LOVE this stuff! It smells like spring and works like a dream ❤️

This cream is very lightweight. I don't find that it is super moisturizing on the dry skin on my face so I only use it on my neck and chest area. It's soft and velvety and melts into my skin. I really like the way it makes my skin feel soft. It does have a scent so if you are sensitive to that then I would pass on this. I'm sure with consistent and long term use I could see the firming results, but as it stands I haven't seen anything yet. It's expensive for the amount you get so I don't think I will be getting it again.

The Caudalie Resveratrol (an antioxidant) Lift Lotion is suitably packaged in a slim ~1.3oz poly plastic tube and retails for $56, which is in line with the brand's general product price point. The lotion itself is extremely runny and lightweight, off-white, and has a faint pleasant scent. It doesn't linger and it too smells akin to the grape-like sweetness of other Caudalie products. While not "lifting" or intensely hydrating, I like this moisturizer because it melts into the skin quickly, has excellent spreadability, isn't heavy or greasy, and leaves me with a lovely matte silky finish without making my sensitive, combo face feel taut or parched. It helps to balance out the more oily zones. You can pair this with your vitamin C, E, and ferulic acids to further enhance all of their respective antioxidant benefits. I recommend they be low percentages to lessen the potential for irritation unless you are accustomed to regular use of higher percentage actives. I like to use this on the nights I'm not applying my acne or anti-aging actives and looking to add a little nourishment along with a good facial oil. When I used this in the AM, it pairs well with my minimalist makeup (tinted SPF and eye makeup). Keeps me from being shiny all day long.While not keen on the small amount I'm getting given the price point, I'm extremely pleased with the performance and use of this particular lightweight moisturizer. I get the expected results without any irritation, flares, or unpleasant lingering scent.

I was anxious to try this Caudalie Reservatol-Lift Firming Cashmere Cream. Because I did not go out as much as usual during the pandemic, I did not always do my full skin-care routine. I can now see the difference myself.This product advertises to be oil-free, which I love as I have oily skin. It also claims to be anti-aging because it contains reservatrol, hyaluronic acid, and vegan collagen alternative. I know that the hyaluronic acid attracts water and that reservatol stimulates collagen.I find this product to be a little thinner than I expected. It flows out of the tube with almost a milky consistency. However, the thinness of the product also makes it easy to apply and spread on the face. My face does feel hydrated after using this product, but I do have oily skin. I’m not sure how it would work for gals with dry skin. I have been applying this right after my morning serum and before my foundation. This product has a mild fragrance. It is pleasant, but present. I would prefer that cosmetics companies leave the scent out of products. It serves no purpose but to turn off the more and more people who are sensitive to fragrances. Fortunately, in this case, the fragrance fades quickly.Based on what I have read about this product, I think it should have both short-term and long-term results. The hyaluronic acid should attract water, giving a short-term hydrating and plumping look to the face. The reservatrol should stimulate collagen which would be the lifting long-term result.I cannot thoroughly assess the benefits of this product based on the short term that I have used it. My initial impressions are that it definitely helps the appearance of my skin on a temporary basis. Whether it has beneficial long-term results will take time to see. With products like this, I like to mark it on my calendar to reassess my initial review in probably 6-8 weeks...or whenever my first tube is used up. My dermatologist tells me that a moisturizer does not have to be heavy to be effective. We’ll see. I am particularly anxious to see the effects it has on my winter skin since it is such a lightweight moisturizer. I’ll start out giving this product 4 stars and will be back in December with updates.
