The turkey my aunt sent for Christmas was finally thawed enough to roast today! I got out my big roasting pan, took out a rack from the oven to make room, and prepared my 14.5 pound bird. These bags feel comparable in quality to both the major brand bags and to the discount ones I buy at Aldi. My only complaint is that these for some bizarre reason do not include the nylon ties. I was just barely able to tie a knot in my bag. There is no mention in the packaging, but I recall from my other ones to toss a tablespoon of flour into the empty bag and shake it around to help prevent bursting, and then once it is filled and closed to cut six half-inch slits in the top to allow steam to release. After three and a half hours roasting at 350 degrees, my bird was golden brown and well done and not a bit dry. The bag maintained its integrity and did not leak or burst. Aside from the missing ties and zero included instructions, the bags are great!
