The Centon DataStick Pro is a cost effective drive ideal for everyday use. The small form factor, aluminum case makes for a classic design. The DataStick Pro is the perfect way to store and transfer documents, presentations, music, videos and more. Available in a wide range of capacities with a 5 year limited warranty. Review: Great for ONN streaming box for television - Slow data transfer rate from computer to USB. I have almost filled this with movies and TV series for when the internet goes out. I have this on an OTG cable with an ONN box and it works extremely well for that. If you have about 5 or 10 series that you like to binge watch and know how to get them you can fill this bad boy up with weeks worth of television viewing. Review: Nice For Archival Storage - I purchased it so I would have a flash drive because they are small, on which I could archive some older files and videos. I decided to encrypt the entire drive so my following comments relate to that. As an encrypted drive it is extremely slow to copy or move files. Videos and pictures open okay but that is based on a limited sample as i don't plan to use it for that. If I need or desire to open a file or play a video that is on the drive I will just copy the file/video to my desktop and work with it or play it off of a HDD. Formatting and encrypting the drive as woefully slow at only 21 MB/s compared to doing the same for a 1TB partition on an older external hard drive 90-95 MB/s. Copying or moving files onto the drive was even slower than formatting and encrypting. It would copy/move about 600 MB of a file at between 756 KB/s and 30 MB/s and then stop for one to two minutes before resuming and repeating. This was the case whether I was copying/moving a file/video of only 1GB in size or copying/moving 20 GB at a time. This compared to copying/moving files onto the formatted and encrypted partition of my old HDD, which was at a pretty study rate of between 35 - 40 MB/s without any stops regardless of how much I was copying or moving at one time. While it was a low tedious process to move about 650 MB of files onto the drive it is done and will serve nicely as a physically small drive for my archived files and videos.

NO Customer service
I have tried to make contact with the CENTON about this 1TB DataStick for about almost a month with NO success. To try to get some help with how to use this item . . . Without any contact whatsoever the customer service they took my email and phone and told me that someone would make contact with me that evening "NO one" "Nothing" has been done so far . . . The lack of professionalism is unreal.

Data Stick Did Not Work and Customer Support Basically Does Not Exist
Purchased this Centon Data Stick Pro to back up my laptop. Never worked and numerous calls to Centon customer Support were never responded to. I went online to find instructions on getting the data stick to function and give the prompts when first used, but nothing worked. Unfortunately, I missed return date and now am stuck with an expensive, useless data stick. Lack of customer support is appalling.
