Economical tangy sweetness!
Sugar free sweets tend to be supplied in very small packets and at a relatively high cost in the shops so I decided I would try ordering in bulk to see if it was worthwhile. It definitely is!These Gerio Sugar Free Sour Fruit boiled sweets are individually wrapped making it easy to grab a few to pop into a pocket or handbag and the fruit flavour of each one is clearly illustrated on the wrapper for each sweet. While the sweets are smaller than I had expected they are a perfectly good size and when sucked they last a good time, not dissolving or crumbling away quickly. I have had sour sweets in the past that have been so sour they made my eyes water. These sweets are not like that. Rather, they have a slightly sour edge to them that just causes the mouth to water a little and prevents a cloying sweetness. The flavours have a nice depth to them, it is easy to recognise the flavours as they do taste quite like the fruit they are meant to be.I was curious as to how many sweets there are in this 1kg bag so I weighed a few! Each sweet weighs just fractionally over 1g so I thing there must be around 700-800 in the whole bag, enough to keep even the most sweet toothed person going quite a while! It is,of course, wise to remember that artificial sweeteners can cause tummy upsets if eaten in large quantities so Id not recommend eating more than a small handful a day.I am most definitely a convert to both these sweets in particular and to bulk buying sweets in general, it works out significantly cheaper and is ar more convenient too.

Will buy again
Great tasting sweets, get a lot for what you pay and last a long time. Kids like them - will buy again.

Nice sweets just eat in moderation
These tasted quite nice at first but after a few of them I did notice a bit of an after taste from the sweetener. Also they all taste a bit samey and are quite small. I read the warnings about having too many of them causing laxative effects and although for me they didn’t make my bowels erupt I did get very bad wind after eating a few of them so they should definitely be eaten in moderation.

For sugarless candy these are by far the best I have found!
I am newly diagnosed boarder line Type 2 Diabetic & I just cannot give up candy altogether! So I decided to go on a quest to find the best boiled sweets I can find!Well, I cannot tell you just how good these boiled sweets are! I really would swear that they have sugar in them, they’re so fruity & tangy with a slight sour taste to them! For sugarless candy these are by far the best I have found! Give them a try, you won’t be sorry!

Definitely sour, but taste good and sugar free
Whooo! This will last me a long time! I’m very happy that they are sugar free, and even happier that they make my extremely dry mouth water better than prescription meds, but a little goes a very long way. Fabulous value for money though.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
These made me extremely poorly!I know they come with a warning that they can cause a laxative effect...I ate 3, yes 3!!!1 in the late afternoon, 2 in the early morning and I was running to the toilet within hours!I take morphine which can cause constipation, yet 3 of these flushed out my whole system! It sounds funny but it really wasn't. I have chronic kidney disease and 3 of these sweets made me really poorly.Unfortunately I was too late to get a refund. I daren't give them to anyone else. I did consider giving them to trading standards because I'm sure a sweet shouldn't cause this bad a reaction but as they've been taking up space in my kitchen (you do get alot), I just recently threw them out instead.Waste of money.I also bought a similar jar of sugar free sweets, different brand, at the same time but I threw them out too because of my awful experience with these. I daren't risk having the same reaction. It's a shame they were tasty. They were also very small, smaller than a menthol Tune. So I was surprised by how powerful the laxative effect they were.It now makes me wonder, have they been pulled from selling them in shops for this reason?(Just to be clear, I don't know if these can be bought in shops but it would explain why if they're not. I don't think they should be sold at all. Especially as people with diabetes try these. I'm not diabetic but with having chronic kidney disease, these did make my kidneys a little tender).
