Very Sturdy and Sharp
I got this Cleaver for a gift and the person I got it for is a professional Butcher and he thinks it cost over $100.00, that's how good it is. He uses it everyday all day long and has yet to have a problem.

works with some effort
I tried a few Chinese cleavers. This one looks really nice. Is comfortable. However, it does not allow you to push cut through veges. you have to slice with it. So is you are looking for one that will push through veges, this is not recommended. However, it is sharp. very sharp. I dont know if the knife is too light. Feels ok, but not heavy as some others so if I try to chop with it, there's no penetration. more like a crushing through which makes it a bit dangerous if you go that route. Cant tell if it will slip. It held it's sharpness so that is a plus. Veges do adhere to the slick surface so if you have a small cutting board, when the vege gets pushed to the top, mine try to escape off the board. I've lost some meat and veges that way. If you have a traditional chef's knife, you may want to stick with it since you will have to slice with this one.

This is a great knife.
Wow- what a knife. This is very good quality for the price. It comes beautifully packaged and has a safety guard on the tip. I got it for my husband who loves cooking. I know it will last a long time. Easy to clean. LOVE

Looks great, weird balance
I've got mixed feelings about this one... It's very heavy for a veggie/chef's cleaver. I use cleavers as my go to. I have a cheapo small one and nicer meat/bone cleaver - I thought this would fill the missing niche. It's not a good compromise. Not sturdy enough for bone, not balanced enough for chopping. The good - quality seems excellent for the price. Edge is a good hardness to hone and keep an edge. Blade is thin, in a good way. ... I wish that I liked using it as much as I like looking at it.

Watch your fingers!
Outside of my bleeding finger, this is the best kitchen tool I have treated myself to in a long time. It’s extremely sharp, versatile, and useful. Every kitchen would benefit from having it.

Solid, good quality, very good price
This knife is well made and works as advertised. The steel is a fairly good German steel, with excellent stain resistance and reasonably good edge retention (not really high carbon, though). I liked the knife in general, but found it a little bit on the heavy side for a cai dao of its size, not quite as serviceable as my cheaper more or less equivalent Han San Nga.
