I love this machine!!! I have I’ll say a fetish about ice, and I have since I was in my teens. I will not drink a drink that does not have ice (unless it’s a cold bottle of water,) I used to chew ice - I’ve stopped that recently. I will not use ice from the freezer because they always get a funky odor. As a result, I have to buy bags of ice “, which end up getting a funky odor, and they’re heavy, and they take up an entire shelf in my freezer. I also like small cubes, which this machine makes. I don’t have to buy bags of ice anymore! The ice is fresh! I don’t have anything else on my counter other than a coffee maker. some people may not like the fact that it takes up about 12 inches wide, but it’s just me and I REALLY like the ice. Although I don’t drink alcohol often, for someone who made cocktails and wanted smaller pieces of ice? you use your scoop and done. The freezer that I’m using has been an issue for 3-years and I’m renting? so I’m stuck with this freezer. Every time I walk by, I grab a piece of ice, but it is so easy to add ice to my water or iced-tea by the glass. It replenishes constantly. sometimes during the night, the sound will scare me but I’m not turning it off because if you turn it off, all the ice melts. I have hard water so I’m using spring or distilled water to pull into the machine rather than from my faucet. I don’t know if it’s running up my electricity bill but I don’t care. It’s hard on my back getting ice into the house? there’s not room in my freezer for bagged ice, and the bagged ice kills my back. I’ve emptied out a shelf in the freezer, which is great. It’s an attractive piece of equipment - also fashion forward, maybe modern looking. I read a review on Amazon, and bought it immediately. It is my favorite appliance in my villa!

I Love my crunchy water maker! When I was buying my ice I was going through More than a bag per day! Sometimes as much as 1 1/2 bags per day!😳 This ice maker makes Way more than I can use if I’m leaving it on all day. Make sure you clean it often! The top lid comes all the way off, to clean the “secondary” water area. I have really hard water, so I send it through my britta filter twice a. Because of the hard water it can cause calcium buildup (I think that’s what it is), so it actually stopped making ice (after only 6 months of use). I was devastated! A friend offered to fiddle around with it. He ended up running vinegar through it (equal parts water/vinegar). Now it’s working Perfectly again!! I Love my “crunchy Water!!!” I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. The reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it stopped working. But that really ended up being because of my hard water. Maybe the users manual should say to use vinegar if it stopped making ice.🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

We live in the country with well water. It is not a good well system either. Turns everything orange & has a fowl odor. We do not use the water for anything but bathing! When I saw this ice machine, I knew we HAD to have it.. because how convenient!!! I ordered it & it is AMAZING! I have had it going basically non stop for 2 weeks with zero issues. Super easy to fill, you just pour water in it, choose your setting for “small or large” (we prefer large) and you will have 2 full cups of ice in less than 10 minutes. We can fill an entire 10lb bag of ice in half a day!! This thing is awesome! We love it so much we bought a second as a gift for my father in law on his birthday! ❤️ No regrets!

We wanted so badly for this machine to work. The size was right, the type of cubes were what we wanted, and the price was attractive. I read a mix of reviews beforehand and decided to take the chance we'd get the one to suit our needs and work longer than a few months to a year. Nope. It worked less than five hours and that was all she wrote. I should have known when opening the box that we didn't get a working machine that was brand new and without problems. 1 - A clear, oil-like substance was noticeable on one side of the machine and that same fluid had been leaking in the box as a bit of it was soaked into a corner and on the side. I believe I read a review that mentioned the same issue. Machine oil? Refrigerant? I have no idea but it wasn't a good sign. 2 - There was packing tape holding some of the Styrofoam packing around the machine, that seemed strange. 3 - When I read the instruction manual, it mentioned removing tape holding the parts inside the machine. There was no such tape and the items were loose inside the box (rattling around when I picked the box up after delivery). 4 - After making good ice all evening, I filled up the reservoir with water the following morning, turned it on and all it did was run and run and run and then smell "warm". No ice was made. I think we got a returned machine. Rather than go through the hassle of returning, I'm throwing it away. Gee... that disappointment WAS fast, wasn't it?

It works great! This is our 2nd... we ran our 1st nonstop for 3 years. So, I felt like we got our money’s worth. It makes ice in approximately 5 minutes... you can fill an 8 ounce cup/allowing 1/2 inch to an inch from the top (room to add drink) in 5 minutes ...it has a basket that catches the ice... I’m guessing... a full basket of ice will fill 4-6 (8oz.) cups... and, it makes ice quickly. I noticed in the rating, it asked flavor? It doesn’t have a flavor/it’s ice. I thought that was weird/strange. The machine itself/the ice doesn’t have a flavor or a bad taste. I think that would be your area’s water quality/but, that doesn’t have anything to do with the ice maker. We fill ours with tap water but, you could use bottled water or whatever quality of water that’s your personal preference. I’m bad about eating ice.. and, tastes like ice to me. I like it! 😛 Anyway, works great! I’m happy with my purchase, and this is my 2nd.. same kind/newer model, I guess.

I bought this ice maker in December 2019 (approximately 5 years ago). We have been using this unit at least a few times a week ever since. I didn't know anything about the VIVOHOME brand of appliances, but I decided to take a chance on it because the price was lower than most of the popular brands. Whether you dislike making ice, or if you don't have an automatic ice maker built into your fridge, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS to anyone who needs or likes to have ice on hand. There is ONLY ONE DRAWBACK in my opinion. The ice cubes are smaller than a normal ice cube made in a tray, and they are wet. When we empty the small ice basket, we put the ice into larger sized freezer storage bags. Unfortunately, the ice ends up sticking together. However, we learned to adapt by smacking the bag of ice on the floor or on a counter. Overall, our family has been very satisfied with this ice maker!

This ice maker is perfect and makes ice in a short amount of time you just have to add water! Definitely recommend this!
