SAINT BECKHAM CARTER!!!!
This book took me for a RIDE!! I didn’t think there was anyone that could dethrone Ryat as my favorite LORD but WOW. I am OBSESSED with Mr. Carter.I loved that this book is spilt into a before and after basically. We see them in college and we see them as the men of Carnage that we know from the previous books. I loved the connection from the other books as well. Seeing the explanation of some scenes we see in The Sacrifice and the crossover with The Kingdom SENT ME! I literally screamed!I also love that FMC is so unapologetically herself and wants what she wants, but is still so in love with Saint. When I tell you I would do anything for this man, I mean ANYTHING! I seriously wish I could live in this book. I want to be in the world of the LORDS so freaking bad.Shantel has done it again. This book is heartbreaking, it’s SPICY, it’s emotional. It took me on such a ride and I never wanted to get off. This book ATE and left zero crumbs.

Devoured this!!! Carnage did NOT disappoint!
First off, this book was like crack for me. I was over the moon when I found out I had gotten an early copy. I couldn't get over how glued to it I was and how quickly I finished it. I devoured. And honestly, I loved it. But man, am I feeling the hangover! Thinking about moving on to another book feels like contemplating cheating on my nonexistant significant other. It makes me feel vulnerable and exposed emotionally, like I don't know how to act or feel. And I don't know if I like that or not, but CHEERS! The way she pulled all of the other books' characters into this one while still giving us a new story really just felt both incredibly nostalgic while also exciting to get new pieces of an already started puzzle. This was an intense and WILD ride...truly a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions were experienced while reading this and I loved every second of it. Absolutely loved Saint's possessive/obsessiveness with Ashtyn...it's what I live for in these types of books. And her addiction to him in equal measure is the toxic perfection I needed. It was giving Sin/Ellie and I went feral for them. Ashtyn on her own I didn't really care too much about as a character...she just didn't give me much to latch onto. But she served her "damsel" role well. She got put through some STUFF in this book, good night! Out of the other two Spade brothers, Haidyn and Kashton, I definitely found myself favoring Haidyn more for sure. I really hope his book is next, because he sure does have some 'splainin' to do! And speaking of explanations...I still have several questions that I really hope are gonna get answered in the next book! She's got me out here combing through all the books for hair/eye color combos trying to figure out who unnamed people are and I'm feeling a little unhinged... The twists and turns in this one just kept me constantly in a state of "WTF mate?!". Kinda cracked me up that it felt like Saint was legit out of the loop the majority of the time and had no idea what was going on right under his nose. Poor guy. Still love him though. The ending was wiiiild and my jaw was on the floor when my mind starting finally wrapping around what I was reading and the pieces were starting to come together. I thought the pacing was done well. I honestly didn't feel a lull in the timing of things at all. And I thought the placement of spice points was appropriate and just the right amount. Things were hot and dark though, so please mind those triggers and don't even attempt to read this if you haven't liked the other books in this world. This book had just the right amount of balance, in my opinion. But I will say, I kinda wish she had just made this into a why-choose, but I guess I can see why she didn't considering the premise of the world and all. Definitely looking forward to seeing where she takes things in the other two brothers' books. The connections made to her Dark Kingdom world in this one now has me racing to go wolf those down. Something tells me there's another book coming in that series soon too... 1000000% recommend this with my whole entire chest. And while technically it is a standalone...you're kinda doing yourself a disservice by not reading the others in the series prior to this. The build-up they provide is just *chef's kiss* and makes the anticipation of the next one that much sweeter. Enjoy and happy reading!

Carnage does what they promised.
This book deserves 3 stars, but I'm giving it 4 and it's all because of how much I love Saint&Ashtyn😍I have a love/hate relationship with this series.I'm not a fan of the author's writing style. Her L.O.R.D.S-books are hard to read, but not because the writing is "difficult". It's just badly written. I have to read dozens of sentences multiple times and even then they don't always make sense. Her descriptions of people and the world surrounding them is also.. off. She's not giving us anything to work with and some things changes every time. I still don't understand how Carnage looks like. (In my head) it changes from being a bunker to a skyscraper to a small town. Which is it??I'm not the only one complaining about the author's writing style because after every book there's a dozen post on the author's SoMe asking what the plot was and what they're missing 😂We're also been told through the last 3 books that "The Lords" are the most powerful people in the world (lol). But suddenly the Kings in Las Vegas can match their powers? Okay...The author is also not a girl's girl. No FMC have a single thought behind their eyes. They HAVE been going to the university for four years, but I guess nothing really stuck?I totally understand the vibe Carnage's suppose to give, but I don't understand why the women can't be powerful in the end?The SA's of the women in this series is also off the charts!! Like, can we dial it down? The scenes screams "written for shock value".In the next books I NEED the characters to question the Lords! WHY do they follow the rules? WHO'S giving the instructions??Why am I giving it four stars when I have so much to rant about? Because the romance was cute and seemed real.Ashtyn is my favourite of all the FMC in this series. There is just something about her 🥺 Saint's my favourite after Ryat. The 🌶 is unreal in this and definitely one of my faves😏4⭐️2,75/5📝4/5🌶

Good LORD
Shantel, Shantel, Shantel!! OH MY GOD. Okay. I did not know what to expect for this book based on the small snippets we got in the last two books. But! Wow. So many characters came back and I loved getting to have them back in the story.I plot of the story did not disappoint and I very much enjoyed the flashbacks even though I was struggling to be okay while reading this book as there were so many things I did not understand in the moment or was not okay with. I went into straight denial for a HOT minute. My poor husband had to listen to all my theories because I couldn’t finish the book at the point where all hell broke loose (of course 🫠).I can’t wait for Madness to come out but now I will be locking myself away to read about the Kings and Queens until then 🤪P.S. The epilogues will always be my favorite ❤️

Strong story lines and characters
CarnageBy: Shantel TessierThere are a number of things that one can say about Carnage. This book had solid story lines, yes, lines with an (s) because there were several story lines going on throughout this book, each story line was connected to the other and the connections were strong! They grew which gave the characters many openings to grow and in some cases to show how we think we know everything about them, but in reality we know very little until all is revealed at the end. This is what I look for in a book a solid story line that can take you on a journey and in the end you may agree with all that has happened or you may not, but your journey has been one of reading and watching each character.Readers find out the difference between the LORDS and being a LORD and a SPADE BROTHER……BIG DIFFERENCE!One of the things that drew me into Carnage was the romance, the love story between Saint and Ashtyn. I know it’s a dark romance, but frankly sometimes a strong romance can make the dark fade and bring the entire story to the forefront. In Carnage, the author managed to not just let the “dark” have it’s way, but in many cases she ripped the bandage off and reminded readers that this isn’t just one story it is the culmination of several and the crossing over of others. That is the next thing that puts my review at a 5 star level. For long time readers it was exciting to see old friends. I love that in a book, when you need answers you may have to walk back a series or two.I knew from the beginning that this was going to be like a hunt, when I read this line in Chapter Two “Let’s just say one day I might need a favor.” I had a gut feeling what we readers were working towards….and DAMN it was very rewarding when it was over!A strong storyline and strong characters made this a 5 star read for me. It is important that before you start reading you read the trigger warnings found inside the book.

Dark romance
The last book in this series for now.Ashtyn Lane Price is the daughter of a Spade brother. This means that she must marry a son of Spade Brother and she has to be a virgin to do so.She only has one man in mind Saint MF Beckham Carter. She became his choosen and he shared her with his Spade Brothers Kashton and Haidyn. They moved her to carnage and then everything began to fall a part! There is a big miscommunication trope going on along side a secret pregnancy. So Ash did the only thing she could thing of and RUN for her life! But the Spade brothers aren't done with her. She is Saint's wife and they are determined to get her back."Oh, Ashtyn, the things I'm going to do to you will make you beg the devil himself to come and take you away from me."And when he finds her in the club and has his way with her! GODDAMNIT that was hot!Saint Beckham Carter will always be my book husband.I loved every single book!5 star read right here!!!

AMAZING
Carnage had be on the edge of my seat for the whole 24h that took me to read it. I was literally dying to get off work so I could finish reading it. And I listened to part of it on audiobook when I was running errands — Teddy Hamilton is one of my, if not my favorite narrator of all time. Chef’s kiss for Saint, Teddy. 🖤Shantel is a master of plot twists that twist even more and leave you completely shocked. There wasn’t a moment in this book that I felt was dragging or boring. Ashtyn, Saint, Kash and Haidyn feel real, with real motivation and flaws. Sometimes you love them and some other times you want to smack them for what they do, but not in a “WTF are you doing? You’re so stupid!”. You understand the reasons for their actions. There is A LOT of spice, but so perfectly placed throughout the book that it never feels like you’re just reading smut with no plot. Shantel know how to write spice laced with plot and do it so perfectly. And I need to mention these things because I feel some are going to live in my head rent free forever:• The Spade brothers riding their bikes.• Haidyn… Just him.• Kashton + a hook = perfection. It reminded me of I Know What You Did Last Summer, only with a different type of hook.• Chapter 56 forward… I cried, I yelled, I gasped, I almost threw my kindle to the wall…. What a third act!!!

Loved it
“When you’re raised in hell, heaven is a fairy tale that doesn’t exist.”I could not put this book down it was fantastic.Saint and Ashton’s story was amazing. I felt like I had been on an emotional rollercoaster after reading this. Shantel finds a way to rip out your heart then slowly piece it back together again. The spice was 🥵🥵. And the mirror scene 😮 (I loved it).Haidyn and Kash I cannot wait to read their stories!!
