Works well but cheaper in stores
These are hard to find out of season so I ordered them online. You can find them cheaper in stores, my local Meijer sells them for like $5 for 25 when in season. They work great for starting seeds indoors. Basically you put them in a container and you keep adding water until it stops absorbing the water. They soak up quite a bit of water and it's kinda fun to watch them grow. I tried pouring on top of the pellets but it works better to just pour into the pan and they'll absorb it pretty quick. It takes 5-10 minutes for them to soak up all the water.I use those foil brownie pans with lids and egg cartons for starting seeds and it works well. Each pellet fits nicely in an egg spot when grown. They're encased in this fine netting. I just peel the netting back and add my seeds. Every pellet had seeds that sprouted. Easy to use and works well, I'd recommend.

Just buy em already.
These are the smaller sized pucks When hydrated about the size of golf ball (maybe a little bigger). Perfect for what I need, keeps little seedlings safe in a convenient package. I always remove the netting before transplant and it works magically. I also really like this refill package. So nice just buy them. 😉

Great little pods!
I use these lil guys all the time to sprout seeds, I have never encountered a problem with them, just add hot water and they plump up, shove a seed in the middle and cover it with about 1/4 inch gathered from the sides, they work like a charm in my little mini greenhouse and I keep them in the pods whilst I harden the seedlings off for outdoor planting.Once it’s time to plant just plunk the whole pod in the soil and fluff it up a bit and away you go, simple!Prices can very considerably so pay attention whilst shopping and check various vendors.Easily

Nice price, all seeds germinated
Every winter I dream of planting my own veggies and enjoying them during the summer. The reality is that after work, I'm usually too tired to cook and end up giving a lot away. So maybe my neighbors should be writing this review. I like the Jiffy J4R25 25Pk Peat Pellets because they are so simple to use and I can pop them right into the ground or container. My seeds all germinated and the plants were healthy. No complaints about this product.

Changed product quality
I enjoyed this product and reordered only to receive different quality product not as good as the first. Liner is definitely different on the new pack somehow and they didn’t work as well for me.

Quality product Great price
I recently bought the Jiffy self watering indoor greenhouse. My seeds started beautifully. Once I planted them I only needed these pellets to start more plants. Great price! Worked like the original that came with the greenhouse. I just ordered a size too small. My green beans mildewed and didn't start. But my onions, bell peppers, zucchini, squash and jalapenos did beautifully! Very satisfied

Really, really tiny
Less than an inch high when hydrated. It still did the job and I'll use them up but I won't buy these again. Need taller pellets.

Great Product
I love these! They are so easy to use, and I have grown quite a few seedlings in these with a makeshift greenhouse that I made. You simply soak them in water, and they grow, so it is easy to place your seedlings in the center. I can't wait for my mini bell pepper plants to bloom since they started from these peat pellets.
