Finite
After testing this product I can prove that it gets finite details to the point of curiousity inducing. Overall, it was worth buying and after learning about usage, it could serve as a good tool for patience learning as well as fun for kids to play with after someone knowledgable has setup the microscope for them.

Camera is cheap
This is a decent microscope for basic needs, but the camera adapter that it comes with does not take very clear pictures. I kept this, but I would definitely have to buy an upgraded camera for this.

Great Beginner Microscope
I have only used it a couple of times so far, but it works great! As others have said, the instructions are a bit vague, and finding the software is near impossible. I’m a Mac user, so most everything like this is difficult to find.Pros:• Very sturdy• Easy setup• Clear images¹• Well worth the price!²Cons:• Vague instructions• Software included, but on included disk• No model number anywhere.³• Lensing Oil should have been included.⁴¹ For the two lower magnifications, you get great image resolution. The two higher resolutions need lensing oil, otherwise you won’t get clear images.² I have been pricing good microscopes, and they run from $1,000.00 on up.³ In my search for software, I could have really used a model number. I searched everywhere on the microscope itself and on the Amazon listing, and it didn’t exist.⁴ Without lensing (immersive) oil, the two higher magnifications are useless. Adding oil to the included accessories would have been a good idea. All in all, this is a great microscope for someone getting into microbiology, or just looking at bugs!

Pretty decent microscope, missing a USB camera
This is a really well built microscope. Most of it is constructed from metal, some of it from plastic. I'm a microbio major, and this particular model reminds me of the microscopes we used in the lab at college. I'm a huge fan of the trinocular, as my eyes get fatigued easily looking through the binocular, and looking through the monocular is not only great for my eyes, but also for mounting a camera. That being said, the product pictures clearly show a USB camera and a description that says it is not included, so it is a very deceptive product listing. Mine did not come with a camera. It came with a camera mount for a cell phone. I tried it out with one of the slides it came with and I must say, it's not a great camera mount. You'd be better off getting a microscope cell phone holder from another vendor. Better yet, just invest in a microscope camera. The product comes in a nice bag, with an instruction manual that is in broken English. It is foam lined and includes all the eyepieces you require, as well as a myriad of slides (probably about 30 or so), as well as some extras including cover slips, and basic lab/specimen gathering equipment. The microscope itself, like I said, is of pretty good quality. The stage moves freely, as does the focuser. The objective lenses seem to be of good quality. The product comes with an oil immersion lens, for viewing bacteria, but there was no oil included in the kit. You will have to purchase that separately, or use glycerine or mineral oil in a pinch. The plug used to turn on the illuminator is a simple USB plug, with a proprietary jack. It's great if you have a plug in your table, but not great if you need to run it to another AC outlet. I think the length is about 1.5, maybe 2 feet in length. It could possibly be plugged in to a battery pack since it is USB 5V, but I did not check. The optics seem quality. I had no problem locating and focusing in on a few different objects on the included slides and the magnification as well as the visual acuity is on point.Overall, this is a great microscope. Perfect for beginners, and I would say it is lab quality for a small lab. I just wish there was an included USB camera like the pictures show in the product description.

Nice microscope. Horrible software experience.
Sturdy microscope and was way to use. No real instructions on setting it up but was finally able to figure it out. The worst part was the software for the camera. It comes on a pocket cd. They don’t even make readers for those anymore as far as I know. I was able to find it online and was able to download with warnings from Google only to find out my Mac wouldn’t run it period. Telling me to contact the software engineer to update it. Thankfully I had a surface laptop that gave me the same warnings but accepted it. The camera is not the greatest but it’s a start for my 5 year old grandson. I was going to return it but I guess I’ll keep it and see what the microverse can show us.
