Halt's Peril: Book Nine (Ranger's Apprentice)

My 13 year old daughter and I love these books! They have great stories, and little things that we can both talk about and have inside jokes with.

This book series has ten books and kept my interest throughout. I taught school and it is difficult to find books that capture the imagination while keeping the fun and spirit of play in a book. Boys and men ages 9 to 67 will find this book enthralling with military strategy, adventure, and all the skill sets of archery, swordsmanship, etc. that they love, while girls will enjoy the full rounded characters portrayed by Evanlyn and Alyss and Lady Pauline. Great series, would recommend to anyone with boys that love to read. It's not quite as good as Harry Potter, but in that class.

Love the characters of Will & Halt. Full of action & adventure. Will is no longer a teen & the adult relationship with Halt is fun to read.

Worth to read

I loved this series. I loved how it kept you involved and wanting more. I enjoyed the mixture of humor and suspense and that it was set in an old world. I read this entire series with my 11-year old niece. Neither of us could get enough. We wanted to just keep going.I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good adventure.

I love this series! Originally recommended to me by one of my high school students, I have read the entire series and the new off-shoot series "Brotherhood Band." I have even gotten my nephew addicted. Very imaginative and creative story lines. You really get to love the characters. Well written.
