Great looking and sturdy overdoor cover.
This door cover looks fabulous! However don't' be put off when you take it out of the box and it doesn't seem sturdy because it's sturdier than you would believe! It has lasted through three bad wind storms so far to my delight and surprise. It did take two people to put it together but it was not because of the weight because it's really light. It just is of the size you need two people to put it up. Highly recommend it.

Great awning for the money.
This is Not a high quality awning but it actually serves its purpose pretty well. I suggest assembling the unit and making a template out of cardboard to drill your holes. IF You are installing in a salty environment—at the beach- replace the 4 screws with stainless. The included ones are the only part that will corrode

Did the job for four years, until a hailstorm hit
This product works well. I installed first a horizontal board to mount this on, above a sliding glass door, securely screwing the board to the wall studs. Then I painted the board the same color as the trim. That simplified awning placement since lateral placement of the awning did not need to line up with wall studs. (Note: only do this if you're confident sealing the new board, so you don't create a new way for water to seep in.)This awning looked good for four years. A recent hailstorm damaged the awning, creating pock marks all over it, so now I'll get replacement panels if I can.

good buy for the price
Awning is very light and easy to assemble. Curious of how long it may last. Brackets are plastic and panels remind me of the honeycomb thats gets hard and brittle in the sun. Guess we will see. For $65, you can't beat it. Rain rotted out lower half of my barn door so I replaced bad parts and added the awning.

Broke in Half After First Snow
I live in Central New York State and bought this for over my garage door because last winter the snow and rain would pack up so much that it was starting to do ice damage to our door. It was a pain to install in the first place; took two people and bungee cords to hold it together while we screwed it in above the door. End of September (when we bought it) and October it worked fine enough sheltering from the rain. Yesterday (3 November) we woke up to our first snow. It held for a few hours while the snow was light and fluffy, but the moment the afternoon heat kicked in and partially melted the snow before getting cold again and re-freezing as dense-packed the overhang broke in half at the supporting beam and flung down at the door below. If I had been walking through at that moment I would have made a trip to the ER.The only bonus I got is that the screws holding in the bracers are still firmly in place, but the actual screening is cheap and too light to support anything. Unfortunately, I assume that I'm stuck with this broken product throughout the rest of the winter since it's too cold to take down. Don't buy if you live in a remotely cold climate.

It works and looks pretty good!
I had a really ugly striped awning that I replaced with this in order to sell my house. It makes it look so much brighter but the entire thing is made of PLASTIC. So it’s light and easy to install. But it might not last as long as other options

Great Awning!
I ordered the awning because I installed a dogie door storm door.......when it rains heavily it leaks......needed something to help with the rain.......first it is all plastic type which I like that is lightweight......second it is brown matches the door and the house......third it is a two person thing and yes you might need washers and screws from lumber yard......the one they supply is for a brick home.....which I don't have a brick home.....not a deal breaker.....$1.50 for 6 good screws and washers at lumber yard....and the screws are stronger than the plastic frames.....lol......I did also buy a clear caulking to insure it was sealed on the top.....since I wanted the rain protection not sun protection.......works like I expected took about 45 minutes and tall ladder since I have a two story house.....and got exactly what I wanted....
