This shelf had either 5 stars or 1 stars from reviewers. I figured the low scores were from user error and ordered one because it was too cheap. OK, so it came out nice, but this wasn't an easy build. I spent an hour doing some trial and error to best assemble the shelf: 1) Attach the rods to the middle plastic piece first. Some pieces will slot easily, others require a bit of twisting in. If it's too tight, flip the rod or use another. It's easier to slot into the end pieces. Make sure the rod lengths are about the same after inserting into the middle plastic. Next, put the vinyl sheet on. I kept forgetting to do this and had to disassemble again. Then attach the end plastic pieces. Do not start with end pieces, or it will be living hell. Place each individual shelf assembly on it's side on a hard surface, tap with side of palm or fist until rods are fully inserted into end plastic pieces. 2) The plastic material will break if you are rough with it. I partially cracked one, but glued it back. Be gentle. 3) Once assembled, take entire shelf and put it on it's side and tap it at all the connections to get symmetry. Do not use a hammer, just base of your palm or a rubber mallet, but don't hit it too hard. The rods can break through the little plastic stop of the middle piece and get pushed in too far and get stuck. Happened to one of my pieces and I spent an hour trying to remove it. It looks pretty good, obviously not the best quality as the shelves are vinyl supported by rods. It WILL however hold book weight if you assemble it correctly. I give it a 5/5 overall because the price is great.

This storage shelves work really nice. It's an easy push all the pieces together unit. When assembling just make sure you push the supports down in holes firmly. It's pretty sturdy and worked well for storing my games, etc. Not too found of the front curtain. It's like a cheap shower curtain feel.. but still not too bad. I would order again!

This is the cheapest made set of shelves I’ve ever seen. The sides and back are thin laminated paper. All of the main frames are cheap plastic with the cross bars of thin metal. The metal is cheap and no good if the framing is so flimsy. ….an immediate throw away.

I live in a college dorm and have an actual TON of books for a student. They’ve been in stacks under my bed for months and I finally decided to get a shelf. Turns out I’m too broke to get a really good shelf but I found this and bought it. It’s not the sturdiest thing in the world, but it’s versatile, easy to assemble, cheap and hey it gets the job done. I have filled it top to bottom with decently heavy books and it’s holding up fine, and I am very satisfied with it. If you’re looking for something to look pretty or hold something extra heavy, we’ll keep looking but this is very practical, functional, and affordable. For the price… 5 stars!

I like the height but did have a hard time pushing some of the poles into the plastic. I was happy that after finishing this project that it was large enough to put my pictures and other things. I didn't like the plastic paper backing that tore when I tried to stretch it around the pole. I didn't like that my statue fell over because there is a gap between the poles making the shelf not an even floor and the plastic paper not strong enough to keep it firm on its foot. I had to put the feet on the pole. The directions didn't have enough words to explain what to do. I had to take some parts apart around 3 times. I'll keep it though because the price was not to bad for my troubles and the purpose that I wanted it for. I like the curtain so I can hide my valuables when I go to work.

Shelf is plastic and a nylon type material. Very sturdy. Easy to assemble. Super quick shipping. Super affordable.

its a good deal for the price. I bought it to attach led grow lights to for starting vegetable seeds for my garden, and it will work perfect for this purpose. It’s pretty sturdy for what it is, but i wouldn’t put anything heavier than shoes on it. It looks good for the price, and assembly is a little tricky but not too bad. Durability-wise I imagine it should last a few years but not forever, which is okay at this price.

Missing some pieces too many of other pieces, instructions are so so so so so poorly directed. It is on a 3x5 in paper, words I don't understand which are supposed to be English and what English words that were in the instructions they didn't Go right with the other words they were using. Pictures are blurry drawn and hardy can't be seen to try to understand how to put this together. after put together after it is put together with missing parts and extra parts its so wobbly All afraid to put even the lightest thing on top of it. I can see and I understand why this was a massively returned item, I would pay no more than $8 for it but I wasted $20 on it. Do not buy

I got it as it has a curtain to cover stuff that don't look appealing. Nice for a cheap shelf, prices these days is ridiculous, but it's okay.

Too many stars on this item. Totally misrepresented in the site. Thoroughly disappointed and annoyed at the poor representation of this product. Would probably be apolitical for a child’s doll house. Very sad

It looks very light and cheap but it works fine. Price is ok with the quality. Would be nice if there were tiers attached to it to make it easy to drag and also there is no plugs or stands for the base.
