Good Product
This is a quick release plate and I think it is a little over-priced simply because of the Vortex name. It does what it is supposed to do so it is a good product, however I believe the price is a little high for what it is. I will be switching out the head on my Pro GT Tripod for something that can hold over 10 pounds. With my spotting scope attached to the head and quick release plate, the image tend to float a bit up and down depending on the angle the scope is looking. My spotting scope only weighs 4.2 lbs so the head and plate arent up to 10 pounds.

Warning: Does not fit all Vortex Optics Pro GT Tripods
It looks like a perfectly good product, however it does not fit the head that Vortex put on my Pro GT tripod. Vortex needs to provide information if they've changed the size of the quick release and head. We have a tripod in perfection condition that is more than ten years old, and this plate does not fit, and instead rattles and slides around and provides zero security. Going back, of course.

Exactly what you would expect
Ive already ordered three of these and two of their tripods just so I could have an easy snap on way to change out my tripod mounted sand bangs, spotting scope, range finder, and picatinny mount for my rifle.

A must have for multiple devices and only one tripod
These allow me to use my one tripod for my spotting scope, binos and also a camera occasionally.Work great, so much better than taking just one on and off several things all the time!

Perfect addition
Purchased for my husbands elk hunting trip, he said it was a perfect addition, and made it a lot easier for him to switch out items on the tripod.

Extremely versatile and affordable, quality tripod.
Really affordable but also functional tripod. I use it for shooting a 6.5 creedmoor bolt gun with a hog saddle attachment on top. Had hits out to 1000m. Another great, affordable and versatile product from vortex.

If you use your tripod for multiple things...
Half the price of the vortex web site and Cableas in Canada sells vortex but not these. Go figure, just buy a couple.
