It was great for wearing for a wedding. I was invited to a western themed wedding and did not want to spend much on a hat. It fit well and survived the heat of the day. It is a felt like material and it had a few bubble place where it didn't glue well. I don't think it would survive a day "on the range" but if you need a costume hat it is fine.

The hat has been in my home and on my head literally since the moment it came out of the box. Although it's somewhat large it's nothing I can't handle in five minutes or less that a piece of insulation tucked behind the inside band won't fix. This hat looks as though I paid ten times the actual cost ~ and I know what I'm talking about because I have some high priced western hats in leather and they cost big bucks. They also offer felt hats that are somewhat less expensive than the leather hats but still much more than this one. As a small point of interest (possibly!) I have a hat band virtually identical to that which came with the hat. It cost more than this hat. I'll try not to think about it too much. This is my first felt hat ~ I didn't realize how nice they were and had the wrong impression about what to expect. I now see no reason to pay more just because a hat is leather. This was a terrific buy at a terrific price for a terrific hat. I'll be wearing it dressed entirely in red at an upcoming country music show (red hat and red hair included.)🤠

The media could not be loaded. While it's a beautiful hat, mine arrived warped and damaged due to poor packaging. Really should be packed with stuffing to keep from warping. I am returning and reordering as the quality is great fyi. I would've opted for just a swap out replacement however this seller did not offer that.UPDATE: I did reorder another one and the second one arrived with better packaging and much less warped. Still room forImprovement on packaging, but itemIn better condition. Upped one more star.
