Epic Homesteading: Your Guide to Self-Sufficiency on a Modern, High-Tech, Backyard Homestead

I’ve seen Kevin around on various social media channels and always noticed he had useful and valuable content. When I heard he had a new homesteading book, I was intrigued. I took the plunge to order the book, after many instances of being underwhelmed by social media influencers’ products.I was not disappointed.The first thing I noticed was the high-quality construction and materials of the book. Thick, substantial, meant to withstand heavy use and be a go-to reference! I appreciate this because there are so many sub-par books and bindings nowadays.Next, the intro and how to use the book: the writing is conversational, informative and there are QR codes to bring the reader to his website to learn more. I appreciate that as well. (Full disclosure: I have not used his website, so can’t speak to the content there.)The book is chock-full of pictures and relevant information. It hits on just about every aspect of homesteading that I can think of, and it’s done in an approachable, accessible manner. Kevin even spends time addressing zoning and city considerations, and does his homestead on 0.3 acres, which is impressive.For someone new, this is a top-notch resource for homesteading. For someone seasoned, I’m sure you’d appreciate all of the things Kevin has outlined here, if nothing more to say “yes, those are things I wish I’d known when I started.”Highly recommended!

This is a great book for the beginner homesteader.

This is a great reference that can be used over and over! I'm an urban gardener and this book gives so many things to think about and suggestions for success in the garden!

Good ideas for increasing crops; variety and yield. Not sure how much is applicable in our zone but still a good reference.

Lots of great tips, written in an easy to understand way with lots of ways to modify and go super extra or keep it more basic. Can’t wait to plant my garden this spring!
