great pop rock from The Fray
It was several years ago when I asked about a classmate, Mike Flynn, who had moved away. I was told that he was in a town dosntate and that his son, also named Mike, was producing a rock group and was attempting to get them signed with Epic Records. The years came and went, and so did the first album by the Fray. Since I only collect vinyl, I was unaware of the first album. When the second record arrived from Amazon, on vinyl, I saw "Mike Flynn" as a co-producer. Not that I'm prejudice and will rave about the smooth harmonies and textured sound of these songs simply because there's a local connection, but the truth of the matter is The Fray is a welcome change to the current music scene (and I listened to the album before I saw Mike's name on the cover).Call it easy listening, soft-rock with an uptempo touch, The Fray is perched in the Billboard Top Ten...deservedly.

The Fray--simply the best.
The Fray confirm that they my favorite artist in their sophomore album, self titled "The Fray".This album has already racked up over 100 listens per song in my iTunes library...something rare considering the size of my library (and how fast my library grows and taste changes)."The Fray" is a lot like the album "How to Save a Life" in a good way. You still have the piano rock/ballad style, combined with the lyrics and style you expect from How to Save a Life. Still, their second try at this game is a homerun. How to Save a Life had a few songs here and there that I really enjoyed, but I love every song in "The Fray".Listening to this album is like watching a flower blossom in a field on a sunny spring day.

Pretty Happy With It
The Fray's first cd, "How to Save a Life" is probably one of my favorite cd's so I looked forward to their 2nd with both anticipation and reserve because I didn't want to be disappointed with this band. The 2nd cd "The Fray" is a good effort and they didn't stray from the original style, which I count as a positive. The only unfortunate aspect I find is that I tend to skip 2 songs on this cd, where as I never felt the desire to skip any song on the 1st cd. I am by no means a music critic so this is completely a personal opinion but the song 'Happiness' is mainly an acoustic song that seems similiar to what you'd expect from an unplugged version but then toward the ending it is filled with a choir joining in. I am not a fan of choirs in my music so this song is lost to me and that doesn't make me happy. I also have a tendency to skip 'UnGodly Hour', though I haven't figured out why yet and I hope it grows on me. The song 'We Build Then We Break' I thought sounded all too much like a Howie Day song, which throws me off a little but it is still a listen worthy song. The huge positives on the cd are 'Absolute', 'You Found Me', 'Say When', 'Enough For Now', and 'Never Say Never', all could seamlessly flow into the 1st cd "How to Save a Life" and that is what I was hoping for. It's a very praiseworthy 2nd cd.

What's not to like?!
You'll perhaps have already come to appreciate the bandmate’s interdependent musical and emotional maturity by now; deviations by virtue of growth, disillusion, compassion and self-reflection are typically universal phenomena crafting the landscape of our very mind; new light shed on the darkest of our days.Change is inevitable, and The Fray make no bones about it. The self-titled bears lyrical hallmarks of love, loss, despair and hope, and appeals to the humanist amongst us all. Acoustically, each nuance of sound appears perfectly phased with another, yet contributed by four; bandmates, soulmates, majestic storytellers; ever a song to save your life.Daniel Lawrence-Brown.

I love this and I love the fray
I love this and I love the fray. All I got to do now is get a CD player that will actually work that at least isn’t expensive. By the way what is the second CD suppose to be cause it doesn’t work when I put it in my car CD player. It doesn’t read it.

Deep album
If you are a music lover that really is into lyrics, this is the album to buy. Every song has a deeper meaning and the instrumentals are incredible. They could have just lyrics or just music and i would buy either. I wish I purchased this a long time ago. This is my first time having a The Fray album and I had no ideas these guys could produce music like this. I waited to long!

One of my favourite bands of all time.
The Fray! One of their best albums. I adore this band, love them since I first heard ‘over my head’ and ‘how to save a life’ featured on sony walkman phone back in 2008-2010. Bought these Cd’s then and got them again as my originals were wearing out.One of my favorite bands of all time
