This headband actually fits around my DT 990’s, unlike most of the other products you’ll buy that promise it. This doesn’t have as much padding as the original you’ll get for DT 990’s, which isn’t really an issue for me. The material definitely does not feel as sturdy as the original band, but it hasn’t broken yet after a month and a half, so hopefully it will last a long time. The band is still comfortable.This is not the cheapest option out there but so far it has at least worked.

Along with a new set of ear pads, this has given my very old pair of DT770s a new lease of life. A bit on the expensive side but cheaper than buying a new pair of headphones for cosmetic reasons.

This doesn't even last a year of normal use. How disappointing.

I took a chance on these, after reading some of the other reviews. I bought them to replace the headband on my Beyerdynamic DT 990s. The item arrived with a slight tear along the fold, but I thought I'd try it anyway. As soon as I attempted to fit them, the tear only worsened until it had gone from about 5mm from the end of the band to about 20mm. What's more, when I went to take them off so I could send them back, two of the poppers came unglued from the material! Absolute rubbish. I've filed a return.

Worked well to replace the peeling and crumbling one on my Shure SRH-840 set. More comfortable and less weight! Material is fairly soft to the touch.
