Wildly hilarious, seductive, & feelgood (5+++š)
I giggled, cheesed, & blushed my way through this entire book. It was so incredible that after initially reading it in KU, I went ahead and purchased my own copy. That honestly says more than anything else I could tell you. Try the sample, I guarantee you'll be hooked too.QUICK LOOK: (š¹+š°=šš¤š)*hilarious culture clashes & sarcasm*fiercely seductive romance & steam*epic worldbuilding & adventure*fighting & action*adorable animals & their antics*A growly monster w/wings*A feisty & smart female*all the feel-goods & consent*once a year rut* satisfying HEADETAILED LOOK:The "demon monsters" in this book: come in shades of red, have huge & deadly wings, horns, multiple claws, a long & agile devil tail, a split tongue, they exude pheromones, go into a rut once a year, and many more goodies I'm not allowed to sayšš.The Kadrixans were exiled from their home planet of Kadri by the Empress, for refusing to mow down innocents in the name of politics and greed.Commander Krxare doesn't regret the orders he gave, it was the right thing to do. But he does feel guilty that his warriors were punished along with him. Never to see their home planet again. Nor the extravagant aeries they'd painstakingly built over the years to acquire a mate.Worse, they had no females to get them through their yearly rut. The rut was normally a joyous event to find mates or have offspring. But it was a death sentence to an exiled Kadrixan, for without females to ease their rut, they'd go into an unstoppable rage.Luckily they had stolen enough supplies and ships to find a new home. A bountiful new planet called Vokira, that was wild and mostly unclaimed. There were a few native tribes spread over the land and one large human colony.Even so, the Kadrixans had lost quite a few warriors to the rut that first year. Now they traded valuable resources in exchange for willing human women from the colony. The human colony is dealing with a lot of inequality and political machinations as well.A bunch of human women have to choose between participating in the rut or going to the new Utopia project. Since no human has ever came back from the Utopia project, quite a few women actually choose the rut. Including an artist that was fired and evicted from her home for a negative comment she made about the colony. When Clara arrives at the Kadrixan compound, commander Krxare shocks everyone by falling to his knees. That only happens when in the presence of a mate. This is their story & they're gonna have to work for it.Clara has a brother back at the colony and he's in some trouble of his own. When he goes missing a much bigger conspiracy unfolds & it keeps getting better as you wade in.Along the way, we get to know the individual warriors and humans (their interactions are comedic gold). It's told in dual POV, where there's dedicated chapters to each character, so we get both sides without confusion. We are taken on an adventure through the native tribes, the deceptive human colony, and the new home of the Kradixians (including their compound). We get to see their cultures, cuisines, animals and much more. There is a main plot and several side ones. The romance and steam is weaved throughout, never sacrificing the plot. Each book features a new couple and their complete HEA but also has overarching storylines.MY OPINIONS:My favorite part about this book was how it made me feel. I laughed until I cried, felt my heart melt, and walked away ecstatic.Seeing gruff monsters cherish vulnerable things like animals, their environment, and a mate is everything. Not everything is sweet, these are warriors after all. But the fighting and growling is done to perfection, whether it's a real fight against an enemy or a teasing/dominant one with a mate.In a couple of scenes I blushed & looked around guiltily before remembering I was an adult an could read whatever I wanted lol. Def hot and enthralling content. It hit me right in the gut. Not just the love scenes and dirty talk. Seeing the couple fight for their love, to know and understand someone so different from themself. Gah magic and bliss. There's a ton of relatable scenes in the book involving humor and sarcasm. I wanted to be a part of their friend group. And the pet companions were the cutest little things I've ever heard of- they had the warriors wrapped around their fingers lol.If I had to compare this book with one I've read before I'd say:*Ruby Dixon's MathirasĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā OR*Regine Abel's I Married A NagaAbsolutely incredible book, I wholeheartedly recommend, & cannot wait for the next one in the series. Happy reading fellow romance lovers!

Red Hot Entertainment!
This book was great! I loved the world building and the attention to detail when explaining why the Kadrixan made certain decisions. Clara and Krxare are adorable together. I loved reading about how much Krxare loved Clara and how much he wanted to impress her, but also just want to be around her. It was romantic, but with a good amount of spice too. Omg the Kadrixan tails! Those were fun to read about. The storyline with her brother was a weird one. Everything worked out in the end, but finding him so soon felt like an afterthought.I still enjoyed the book, but the search for her brother and the grammar were drawbacks for me. In regard to the grammar, the tenses kept changing and that was confusing, but it was still manageable. I will definitely be reading the other books in the series next.āØ

Great Story
I'm a sucker for a good alien romance, and I really really enjoyed this one. It had fantastic spicy scenes, great romance, insecurities for both ml and fl which helps make things more relatable and realistic in any story. I was confused about the natives, and exactly what monsters they become. I thought perhaps they were werewolves, but then they started swinging on vines and all I could think about was smaller versions of Sayan baboon forms from DBZ. I'm also very curious about the aquatic race supposedly on this planet. I liked the little bits of adventure they threw in, though they weren't a massive amount, it made it fun. I can't wait to continue this series š„°

A mate for Krxare
Itās a sweet romantic story about a leader and warrior named Krxare. He is trying to save his people and populate their lands. They need human females who they know are compatible. Krxare has secured a detail with the closest human colony for willing females. What Krxare does not know is that the humans that they are dealing with are not honest and are self-serving. This time when the females arrive, one is indeed Krxareās mate, Clara. There is some world building that tell us readers that Clara and other poor citizens are being taken advantage of by not allowing them access to the healthy foods. I liked Krxare as the male lead. Clara was just okay, at times her choices were irritating. The other warriors were interesting characters and surely there will be additional books. Read On!

Good
Krxare and ClaraLife on the colony of Nova Vita is hard unless youāre one of the elite. Anything can get you into trouble with the authorities, including being in debt and homeless, which is how Clara found herself in prison with just two choices: go to the Kadrixan colony for the rut, or head for the human settlement of Utopia. Not trusting the authorities, Clara chooses the rut, and finds herself paired with the Kadrixan leader, Krxare.Krxare knows immediately that Clara is his mate, but he has to convince her to stay with him and not go back to the colony where her family and friends liveā¦This is a fun, fast paced, slightly dystopian sci-fi romance. There are plenty of sexy scenes, but also an underlying analysis of a society that is corrupt and lead by people who donāt care.It all works out to a quick, entertaining read, with an underlying story that makes you want more, and a hot romance to boot.A highly satisfying read for the sci-fi romance enthusiast (especially those who enjoy monster heroes, and dystopian worlds).

A really good read
Female lead with realistic human doubts and opinions minus shear stupidity. Male lead with just the right amount of dominance and tenderness. A real plot line with bad guys. All wrapped up in a lovely bon bon of romance that leaves you with an warm fuzzies at the end.

Oh those Kadrixans
Great story about Kadrixan males, some Cannibals and a colony of humans whose leaders were nefarious with the lower classes. I don't want to give any plots away, but would recommend you read.

powerful characters with spice
Great world building and a good plot. Female characters have strength and determination. Males are hot and caring. What more could you need. Oh I know wings and a prehensile vibrating tail.
