Really pleased with this book. In mint condition for a 2nd hand book. Loved reading it! A must have for the die hard fan.

The book of the first series of the wonderful Auf Wiedersehen,Pet, set in Dusseldorf. This book is very true to the TV episodes, and I really enjoyed it. The seven major characters come alive on the pages. I picked it up for 1p (plus postage). Amazing. I have loaned it to my brother, and I can't wait to get it back to re-read. Buy it if you like the series.

Great read very funny

I'm an 'Aufpet' fan & was not expecting a literary masterpiece but it's really not written particularly well. One egregious annoyance that pervades the book is the author's attempt to get something of the character's accents across. He does this by dropping certain consonants , mainly with Oz and Wayne. It is totally unnecessary and doesn't make any sense with Oz's accent. Virtually everybody that reads this book will know how the characters speak and for those that don't know - it doesn't help or enrich the narrative. Speaking of which - it pretty much sticks to the script which is expected. It's a shame it's so mediocre. I think the actual writing of the show by La Frenais and Clement deserved more than this.

Got the TV collection now the book i am happy and it came when I was told that it would keep it up.

My husband loves it and he is not a reader.
