Overall satisfied with the powder. Definitely not something to consume in a glass of water, especially if you do not like bitter things. The best way I found to mask the flavor has been with a morning smoothie or shake. It definitely feels like am in a perkier mood throughout the day and for the price, the bag seems to reasonably last long enough. Overall, satisfied with the product and will continue to purchase!

Noto-Ginseng is known as San Qi, and is used in a variety of herbal formulas. It should not be confused with Panax Ginseng which is an entirely different herb. I make a tincture that I use for injuries, bruises, sprains, etc., that is called “Dit Da Jow”. San Qi is an important ingredient in that formula. It often comes as rock hard dried roots that are very difficult to break up, so I was very excited to see this in powdered form. Unfortunately the package is only 4 ounces, not 12 ounces, which others have also noted. This herb can be very expensive so I’m still okay with the cost, but they should fix the listing to reflect the correct size.

I typically use this in my morning coffee/tea, around 1/3 tsp and after a few weeks it began to show it's benefits. I also sometimes add it to food on top of other seasoning, but I mostly use it in drinks/smoothies.While, as with many herbal solutions the results will vary, but for me I felt more energized/clear headed throughout the day after taking a small "dose" of this powder in the morning. I didn't have any weird reactions to it and the quality of the powder seems top notch.The pouch lasted me a month and over that time the powder didn't get clumpy or go bad, of course keeping it in a cool dry place is important for most powders.

If you look carefully at the photo, it says “4 OZ.” Other reviewers have noted the discrepancy.That said, it seems to be the real thing, a bitter but not overwhelmingly bitter taste. The lingering aftertaste is less bitter, more tingly. Additionally, Wisconsin regulates cultivation of ginseng to help assure consumers that you are getting what the label says. The powder disperses easily in water and adds a layer of flavor to brewed coffee. A little honey or sugar cuts the bitterness.Other than the difference between an advertised 12 ounces and a delivered 4 ounces, it’s a fine product.
