G-series Cordless Hedge Trimmer

This is a lovely machine. So light and easy to use. I’ve always had a petrol trimmer but getting too heavy for me as I get older. First class. Starts like a dream, no oil or petrol levels to check or pull cord to battle with. Really great

Very pleased with this hedge trimmer. My husband managed to break my last lightweight corded hedge trimmer by cutiing through the cord then repairing it wrongly (I had only used it twice too!!), so I decided this time to go for cordless. Not being very strong, I need a lightweight one, so decided on this one being, I thought, the best compromise of power, weight and price. Have just trimmed a long hedge of laurel and rhodedendron (mostly), and it coped absolutly fine. It doesn't seem that powerful at first, but it did the job (obviously, the thicker, older branches need a lopper.) The charge lasted for ages- I was never forced to stop to charge it, though I did the hedge over 2 days and charged it in between. It was easy to move around and light enough for me to manage without my arms tiring. And, of course, the biggest bonus- no cord to cut through!! Very glad I chose this one.

I was bought the long reach VonHaus trimmer for Christmas for those hard to reach places and was pretty impressed by it, it is slightly head heavy when fully extended but its ok. I needed to get rid of my corded hedge trimmer because i cut through the cord twice and thought the third time i accidentally do, I’m probably gonna get it, so because of the long reach one, went for this normal sized one. Went for the 20v and not the 40v one because the battery is interchangeable with the long reach one I’ve got, they’re both 20v. Ive used it on Buxus small hedge and Privet larger hedge so far and it cuts nice and clean. It does feel a little weak tbh compared to the now gone corded one I had and compared to the petrol one I’ve got, there’s no comparison, that one will cut your arm off and not even care, smellllllllls lovely too. So this 20v battery one, I can use the battery on the long reach trimmer, it cut the hedge nicely, don’t think it would cope with pencil width branch but to keep ontop of new growth its fine. It’s also fairly light, there’s a two contact dead switch, so if you let go with either hand it’ll immediately stop so wayyyy safer than the electric corded one and emits a quite sound, similar to the corded one, obviously a lot quieter than the petrol one. Cleans up nice with a quick brush to the blade and then pop it dry back into its protective sheath. Ive knocked a star off because it feels like its struggling but that might just be how it is.

This is a great hedge trimmer. The battery lasts well considering its size. It is very useful and cuts well. it is relativly light and easy to use. It is important to oil / clean the blades after every use.

The hedge trimmer is very light and has a good cutting action which will be perfect for what i plan to use it for. Comfortable handle which will help if using for extended periods of time. No issues with the battery as some others have experienced-i charged it up and functioned the trimmers with no problem. The blade is a perfect length for what i need and looking forward to using this when the snow clears up!!! I should add that the item has not been tried in anger yet but i am confident that it will do a good job.

The product didn’t work at all even though I charged it fully. When I initially plugged the charger in the light went from red to green immediately but I still kept the charger on for 2 hours, dead. Had to pay for the return and still waiting for my refund although Amazon said they were going to initiate it.

Product is excellent for its price and as powerful as stated, proving able to cut twigs as thick as 14mm in diameter. I used the trimmer for about 40 minutes intermittently yet when I had finished the battery had only dropped to 2 green lights (out of 3). On the negative side, the product did not arrive in a the manufacturer's box but was, instead, boxed by the seller in an ad hoc manner. This packaging was insecure and was open in places such that it was possible for the product to have been touched (meaning that it could have been damaged has someone been inclined). Only at this moment has it occurred to me that this might be because my trimmer had been returned. Congruent with this possibility, the trimmer did not switch on at first until I noticed that the top of the upper handle had been hyperextended outside of the casement such that squeezing the switch couldn't make the electrical connection. I forced the top of the upper handle back inside the casement (it clicked back into place in a manner that satisfied me that it would stay in place and was merely a temporary issue) and the switch worked at once. So, overall the trimmer is first rate but the seller appears not to be.

Really easy to use. Lightweight and effective. Battery charges quickly and lasts a decent amount of time
