I wish I would have bought this one before the more expensive one!
This is tracker watch #2 for us. The first one cost like $150.00 and broke at a splash pad. After using this for 1 day I can already tell you call quality is much better than the more expensive watch. It worked with a tmobile sim card, (same as the other.) It was precise on the location, as soon as I started the app which honestly was very impressive since our house doesn't show up on GPS. I am going to give this another month or so and write another review, but so far this is a better watch than the other more expensive one we bought. The only thing the more expensive one has that this doesn't is on the phone book list you can't put a picture just write the name, so if your child doesn't read you have a bit of a problem. Overall I'm happy with this purchase and it was fairly easy to set up, even though I'm not tech savy.

Ordered 2: 1 worked, 1 is going back
Update: Now, even our first watch is not consistently working. My son can call me and send me messages, but my calls to him do not go through.There is no point to an emergency GPS watch phonw that isn't reliable.We have had mixed results with these Owlcole Smart Watch gps phones. The first worked. The second did not.The first watch we ordered worked pretty well. It took a day or two for the sim to connect and lots of tries to connect the app to the watch so we could get it all set up and make calls - but it worked! And on my sons campout, I had his exact location, chatted with him, and he called me to check in. It was perfect.Since then, at times this watch is perfect, at times it is glitchy, but it does work and my son can call me when he needs to.Unfortunately, the second gps watch did not work.Our sim card was functioning (after a week of messing with it, we could see the gps location on our app and we tested the sim card in another phone to be sure the problem was the watch, not the sim card).We could never connect the app to the watch in order to add contacts, emergency numbers, or make or receive any phone calls at all.We could send chat messages, but it took days for them to be received and still no calls could be made and the watch wouldn't connect with the app.Despite our sim card working perfectly in the other Owlcole gps watch we own, the watch never did connect to the app or work for calls.We tried all the directions from other reviewers and from the manufacturer - but the watch just did not function properly. We are returning it to Amazon.

In theory this seems great, I bought 2 watches
In theory this seems great, I bought 2 watches , one for each child and both activated just fine with the Sim card. Although both seemed to immediately be able to receive a call, NEITHER will connect to the app, it just keeps saying "device offline" like others have mentioned. So, I cannot add any numbers or utilize any of the needed functions. Junk.

Did not work. When I put the sim card in, it would not connect to my phone. Kept saying "device offline".

Have had this for two months now wanted to wait to review to see how it worked. Switched phone service to T-Mobile. Needed to get my granddaughter a new watch. This one seemed to fit the bill and it did. I have hers on a tablet plan with T-Mobile but in order for us to be able to set it up we had to put phone numbers in first not sure why but it would only work that way. You need to make sure you are in an area that still works on 2G. If they ever stop having 2G in my area I will probably switch it over to the plan they talk about on here. Everything it talks about being able to do it does very good in my area. If the area you live in meets the criteria for this watch I would recommend it. The only issue I had was it is a bit difficult to learn how it works but with a little patience and time you will be fine.

Its works well when you are in a 2g area and get reception. Was unable to get it to sync with setracker, after multiple attempts I just gave up.

App does not work - Even if set to North America - worthless if app can not connect.
So I am embarrassed to admit I can NOT get this to work. I ordered the recommended sim and activated it, set the app to US and created an account. The device can receive a call but the app reports "not connected".Deleted the device from my account I created in the app, created a new one and added the device. Still can not connect.Being that the little one tis was ordered for loves the device I am going to keep it but it is worthless for the purpose we ordered it for.Additionally the camera only allows one photo to be stored. If you take more than one it deletes the previous.I really wish this device could be programmed by USB instead of some app that obviously can not connect to the device.Can't set the time, add phone numbers or anything requiring the app. Worthless except our little one feeling like he has a "smart watch" and he can receive calls.If I find a fix I will update my review.

The product itself seems nice. The watch is lightweight and has a light on the side. Once the watch arrived I was surprised that it is more of a canary yellow than gold like I expected based on the stock photos. That was no issue as the yellow and black looks good. The issue that I am having is that I cannot get the phone to function with the (recommend) SIM card. I keep getting the âdevice is offlineâ message. This watch is VERY susceptible to water as in it is a magnet for moisture. My child has SOAKED this poor watch most every time she washes her hands. The watch is not water proof or water resistant. That said as far as the electronics are concerned it is a heck of a product for the fact that the electronics STILL are working. So the watch easily gets water damage but it doesnât slow it down and dries out. I really wish that the SIM card issue could get worked out because my child is in love with this watch. If you have a young child and want a budget Apple Watch here you go... my suggestion for the product is to build out a better customer support to get the watches to work with the SIM card installation. The watches seem hit or miss as to if it will work on arrival with the SIM or you have the device offline issue.
