Firstly, my son was super excited about this toy. But he is only four years old and needs my assistance to use it every time, which can be frustrating for both of us. It requires a lot of effort to cock the airplanes back for launching. I was also surprised to see that the deployment features resemble a gun. The foam bullets and the planes disperse with quite a bit of force. I presumed it would be more like a catapult than a gun, but my son was intrigued at first sight.

This foam bullet shooter (Gun) shaped like an aircraft carrier does indeed shoot foam topedos (bullets), but then it has 4 aircraft that can be catapulted off of the deck of this interesting toy. Although a ship, it does not go in the water.

Great idea for boys! This “gun” can be both an aircraft carrier for play, or converts to “gun mode” by pulling down the stock handle. The lightweight but sturdy jets shoot from the deck; when those are not in the loaded position, this toy can be switched to “torpedo” mode and shoots Nerf-like “torpedoes” from an opening on the underside. Idea is cool; however, the conning tower is a bit hard to pull back in order to lock the torpedoes into “firing” mode. They do shoot as good distance, though. It comes with 5 spare torpedoes for a total of 9, which is good because I don’t think it will take any other brand of “nerf-like” projectile. 4 stars due to difficulty in pulling back conning tower, and the fact these aren’t Nerf. But other than that, it’s an awesome concept.
