Velda Wireless Pond Thermometer

Looking at the reviews for most of these products they are not very good. Well I bought this about two and a half years ago and i'm not impressed. It gets through batteries quite quickly. Getting the thing to see the sensor outside is very difficult and its only got to go about 7 meters. Today the batteries have failed yet again and it won't link up and see the sensor. Its in the bin. I don't think i'm likely to buy another one. I've had a few different makes in the past and none of them seem to last very long. Stick to a floating thermometer for reliability is my advice

First impressions would appear that the build quality is good. There are plenty functions I especially like the temp trend square this helps greatly with the control of the pond heaters. Both screens look good and the backlight is an attractive colour. Battery enclosure in the temp sensor is secured with 4 small threaded screws and a gasket so hopefully it should stay water tight. Time will tell if the unit functions well and keeps the water out as so many don't in products of this kind.

Works well range is reduced when the batteries are old but other than that all good
