Works very well indeed. The line is fine, and perfectly clear enough. The serrated wheel makes a nice, quiet, rattle as it runs along, so you know it's working. Brushing off certainly makes the line a lot fainter, but doesn't completely erase it (although that would seem quite magical if it did; and I'd expect the rest to wash off readily).I had pretty low hopes for this product, due to poor reviews here and poor reviews on similar products. But I was actually pleasantly surprised.

I am a quilter, this is invaluable. Better than the cheaper knock-offs, any way of the week. Worth the money.

I make quilts and have tried chalk pens and pencils, but I love this for dark fabrics. It goes on easily and the eraser, which is a brush really, removes the chalk quickly and easily. The chalk itself can come off unintentionally a bit if anything rubs against it, so you want to mark your fabric area right before you use it. It is not as easy to use as a chalk pen, but it goes on lightly and comes of easier, too.
