I love it!
It's not very big but it does the job. The design is very nice and it is a very solid kettle. I imagine it will be on my stove for many, many years to come.

Cute !!!
I was skeptical about it....not anymore. The pot is very cute and does well on the gas stove. Since the bottom is pretty narrow keep an eye on the handle to stay up, since flames go around the pot. I rinse it after every use and let it air dry. I love the tea pot !

Great small size
Small - cute - but my heater does not get warm on top so it doesn’t put humidity in the air like I had hoped

Inside lining is damaged
Teapot looks great but upon closer inspection the internal lining is either incomplete or damaged. I was really bummed since I'd been looking forward to receiving this teapot, but now that's it's here I can't even use it. I had a special occasion planned now i have to reschedule due to poor craftsmanship. It looks like a piece inside chipped.

I don't think it's safe to drink
I don't think it's safe to drink. It looks beautiful, but the inner layer is cracked. I don't think we can drink this anymore.

It is cute and very Japanese looking
Well, if you want a cute little teapot for your shelf, this is it. It comes with a little mat that is embroidered with flowers for it to rest on. It has a lifter for the top that has a shiny gold hook for grabbing the knob and the handle is dark polished wood. You feel like you are at a samurai's house with the sliding doors and people walking around in socks when you look at this.Does it make a superior cup of tea? I brewed tea in it after boiling the water in my Chantal teapot on high in three minutes. This took a long time to heat up on medium to the point it wasn't worth it. The inside is lined with enamel, so they say not to put it on high, but I do put the Chantal enamel lined teapot on high and the enamel doesn't flake off the steel. I am not sure why you can't get the same effect with this one.I let the tea brew the recommended five minutes. At first, I got a metallic taste. After it cooled, I didn't get that taste, but got a smooth tasting cup of tea. At first, the water did feel thicker and silkier. Maybe that evaporates off? I am not sure of the science of this. I know Teavana in the mall tried to pressure me to buy an iron teapot like it is better somehow.Compared to tea in a mug, I am not sure I notice a huge difference. It is cute though. It has a macramé cord to keep the top from getting lost. The paint on the outside makes it look burnished. The hemp handle does let you pour it without needing a potholder. The pot does get very hot with the tea in it. I got just about 2, 12 oz mugs of tea using one teabag to steep. If you heat water in it, you get less tea because you can't fill it as high.
