Eureka61250 SmartVac Replacement Roller Brush

Would do again

After shredding a few belts and worrying that the motor or pulley was seized, I realized one of the bearings on the roller was locking up. Tried to pry it out to clean, but these are non-replaceable bearings so you have to buy the whole replacement roller. Fortunately, it wasn't too expensive, shipped very quickly, and fixed the problem. Apparently you're supposed to replace the roller on a regular basis (who does that?) but this was the first time I'd replaced it since I bought the vacuum about 8 years ago. Relieved to be able to replace a part, rather than the whole vacuum.

I'm sure the product is very good, but it doesn't fit my vacuum.

Delivery was quick, just a few days. When I started to replace the old roller brush, I realized that the belt was also in foul shape. Just happened to have a new belt on hand, so replaced it as well as the roller brush. When I turned on the vacuum cleaner, it was like a brand-new machine. It practically rolled ahead by itself. Not sure if the improvement was due mostly to the belt or to the roller brush, but it's great.

Works like the original. Does the job so far without problem. We've had it for about a month and have used it half a dozen times. So far, so good.

Works great on the for carpets... brush part extends a little further than original making the vacuum a little less effective on bare floor.

The roller brush on my upright was completely shot. I repeatedly was replacing the belts when I noticed the roller brush was completely worn down where the belt is supposed to be placed. I was expecting a cheap plastic type replacement. This brush is very solid and better than I expected. My sweeper, along with the new belt, runs like new! Hopefully i will get another 5 years out of it.
