If you’re looking for hot chocolate, keep looking! This is different, made with wheat as a thickening agent, sugar, cacao, cinnamon and stabilizers. It is less sweet and less chocolaty than hot chocolate, as well as thicker. It’s nice for a change of pace from the intense sweetness of hot chocolate.

I've had atole (and made it myself) many times, (always with masa harina) It is a thick corn-based beverage.Champurrado is atole with chocolate so I thought I knew what to expect. But there is no masa harina in this, just wheat flour instead. The flavor and texture is off (bland, gummy, not sweet). Will make it homemade next time. Google atole recipes and try it too!

I guess, if you are used to this product, it tastes okay, but I couldn't handle it. Too thick, like melted bread. The flavor wasn't even redeeming. I tried. I failed to enjoy.

I heated up a cup of milk in the microwave for one minute, then stirred in one tablespoon of this cocoa mix. It is low sugar and a bit of cinnamon. I will definitely be buying this again.

The thickness-consistency expected for champurrado is good in this product. but the flavor is not there because it doesn’t have enough chocolate and flavoring spices in its mixture. It is more of the ingredient used to make the beverage thick, than anything else. It definitely needs more chocolate and flavoring spices to make it good as it should be and make it worthy of the price being charged for 2 small cans pack. In order to use what I ordered, we have to Keep adding chocolate and flavoring spices to give it some flavor. The idea was to have it ready to simply add hot milk or water and mix it for an instant delicious champurrado. We are actually re-making the mixture to find flavor in it. I definitely will NOT buy it again as it is, but if the seller listens to the concerns and improve this product, I would definitely try it again. I hope the seller listens and make the product better as “newly-improved champurrado” without charging more, but simply to make it right for the actual price, and create a stable market for this well-intended product.

This champurrado mixture is not my preferred. That doesn't mean that it's bad. Three that tasted it were not happy. I not trying to downgrade the product. I consider it more of a Tea. I tried it with water, i will tried it with milk.

The rich cinnamon flavor was incredible!!! It was a little clumpy but that didn’t deter me from giving it a 5 star review. Delicious. I used it for hot cocoa bombs.
