The use of ostrich feathers in Royal heraldy is first found during the reign of Edward III. The feathers were later adopted by the Princes of Wales. There have been 21 Princes of Wales since the title was first used. Prince Charles was given the title Prince of Wales in 1958, aged 9 and the Queen invested him on July 1st 1969 at Caernarfon Castle.....
