I never leave product review photos but this one was worth it. I have the purple/blue aurora over a true violet base, and it looks unreal. Usually I find multi colored magnetic polishes to be on the thick side, I didn’t find that to be the case with this one. It applied in a thin layer easily and the particles were easily manipulated. The base color itself is pretty sheer, it can be worn alone but I prefer an opaque base especially for multi colored magnetics, it just really makes it look special. From different angles you get blue, purple/pink, and an orangey red. Very pretty. Very unique.

It comes out gray, and the shimmer has to be brought out. Don't shake your bottle, but definitely roll it vigorously in your hands and even bring it upside down a few times if it's been sitting. 15ml bottle so decent size bottle. It's good quality, cures fast (30s if you don't have one of those tiny cheap lamps), I do 60 seconds to be safe. Functions well if you MIX IT. All gel polish is sticky after curing, it's the inhibition layer, and even a tiny ghost of pigment can wipe off after curing, it's when the opacity is changed after wiping that is a sign of under curing, then you need thinner coats or probably a new lamp. Those tiny ones you get in the multi sets are not going to be strong enough, spend $50 on a 36w lamp at least (mine is 60). Easy to apply. I like it, the magnet is cheeks though, get a different magnet. I didn't remove a star because I'm swimming in magnets á la Scrooge McDuck.

I still don’t know how to do cat eye. It doesn’t help that I have terrible lighting so this is the best I can do lol. I did 3 coats here to get the “gray” dark enough without being too sheer. Maybe next time I will use a black or white base but I still love the color regardless.

1 point deduct for weak magnet bar. I bought the aurora rainbow blue and also gray blue aurora. The names of these polishes are incorrect but the colors are absolutely banger. I’m keeping these bottles. The aurora rainbow blue is on a thicker side. From my experience with many cat eye gel, This one you MUST use a a base color, this can’t be on it’s own. It’s best with black color base for dramatic effect. You can use it by itself but you won’t achieve what the product photo shows. By itself, it has a muted gray base with blue and rainbow holographic magnetic powder. I provide 2 photos and 1 video. One photo is before I apply the magnet so it’s just a layer of the cat eye. 2nd photo is when I use my own magnet to test it. Then there is the video self explanatory, you will see how pretty the blue aurora rainbow. It’s good quality. I wish their names were so misleading. Gray blue aurora is nothing gray blue, it’s purple base color with yellow magnet But the blue aurora rainbow is true to its name. It’s grayish base color with both blue and rainbow holographic magnetic powder.

Very beautiful true silver cat eye! A little thick in my opinion but I don’t mind.

Looks nothing like picture. It is a cats eye but the magnet provided doesn’t work the way it should and I had to use a bar from another kit to get the effect. The color is only silver not rainbow as the picture appears.
