Great CLP
I have been using G96 for years and not only is a great quality product, it smells really good too. It really does keep my EDC stuff cleaner in the long run. I am a frequent cleaner and it makes the jobs very easy.

Used product for years with good results
Have used product for years to clean and protect firearms after use in all kinds of tough conditions. Does a good job. And has a more pleasant smell than other products, and especially when granddaughters cleaning guns, the smell does make a difference to them.

Buy this once and you will never go back to your other products!
This is probably THE BEST all in one cleaner out there HANDS DOWN. Hard to find in stores anymore--not sure why. I really used to hate cleaning guns--the brushes, swabs, patches and the solvents, cleaners, and oils. It took too long, was too complicated, and smelled too bad. With G96 and a boresnake, just spray down the barrel (or on the snake), run the boresnake through and you are good to go! ONE RUN AND DONE! I usually do two or three runs--not because it gets it any cleaner, but because I feel guilty it's too easy!I used this to clean out a used lever-action 45 LC that, although stainless, had somehow gotten all fouled up in the action with rust and junk and started jamming. Eventually, I could no longer work the lever at all--it simply locked open and would not budge. At all. Maybe the previous owner shot black powder loads only and never properly cleaned it, or left it out it the rain? Who knows? All I knew was I now had a lovely paperweight that I had paid several hundred dollars for.So I reached for the G96. Sprayed it in, let it set, and rust just came pouring out. Did that several times and then decided to take the whole thing apart. Just set the parts in a tray, sprayed with G96, let it sit overnight, wiped them clean, reassembled the gun, and never a problem since! Given the amount of spraying I had done before disassembly, I was worried about the impact on the stock, which is made of beautiful cherry wood. My worries were unfounded though--if anything, the G96 only added to the richness and the luster of the finish.Works on almost all guns for all applications. I spray it on my revolvers' cylinders and let it sit before brushing off the burned on powder residue and lead. I love it for my rifles and it's great for shotguns.Only twice have I needed something more--after intensely leading a rifled shotgun barrel by running about 30-40 slugs through it (but the Breneke slugs package said it was OK!) and once when I had just too much copper fouling in the barrel. Keep the guns regularly maintained though, and it shouldn't be à problem. If you shoot solid copper bullets regularly, might need to keep the copper solvent on hand just in case too ;)

This is all I use!
After finding this product it is all I use for gun maintenance. It really does clean, lubricate and protect. Have tried many other products but prefer this and have recommended it to many others.

G96 GUN TREATMENT
I've been using G96 since 1972 I use it to clean, protect, and lubricate. IT WORKS! I've never had any issues going from warm to cold, EVER! From 72 degrees to 20 degrees. G96 removes any grease film that turns to molasses in sub zero temperatures. I had a gunsmith cut a 22" barrel cut to 18 1/2" The gunsmith told me, G96 is the best gun oil for cleaning, also lath cutting. I introduced G96 to this gunsmith, and he has stocked it on his shelves ever since. He said it's always moved very well. A lot of patrons comment about it. I since moved away from PA, and now live in VA. It's easier to use AMAZON then run a 1/2 hour away to a sporting goods store for G96, unless I need something else. Also, I use the G96 for door hinges, rollers, you name it, I use! A locksmith once told me, do not use WD40 on any door locks. I use G96, and it works! I use it on the locks for my autos. When I use it on door hinges in the house, it lasts for about a year! I can't say enough good things about it. I introduced G96 to my older brothers, and they have been using it since. My two sons are are Marines! They used it before The Marine Corps, and continue to use it today! I also use it on my rods and reels for salt water fishing. I used it on my Penn reels, they're over 30 years old and still work like a clock today! Also to clean Black powder rifles and pistols after flushing them with water.10 July, 2020 Anyone using this G96 for years will remember seeing on the label Guns, Rods and Reels. Here's my point, I was cleaning up a reel I had for years. I took it completely apart and found one of the main shaft ball bearings seized up. It looked OK, it wasn't a solid piece of rust. I soaked the bearing in kerosene for about 30 hours...... Nothing! The bearing didn't even loosen up a little! So I said to my self, I'll try soaking the bearing in the G96, never expecting it to work. I looked around for something small to put the bearing in. I found a small cap that would hold about one ounce. I dropped the bearing in and sprayed just enough G96 in the cap just to cover the bearing. 11 Hours later I took the bearing out and tapped on the anvil on my vise a few times. After several tries, to my surprise the bearing loosened up! So I'd sprayed a little more G96 on the bearing to Clean it out. Ounce the bearing felt clear of particles, I used Mobil 1 Mobilith 007 bearing grease. The reel has been working great ever since. I just had to add this to my review.

Poor packaging creates danger.
Best gun oil I have ever tried. Cleans and protects better than anything else. Also is the best rust remover I ever found. I fully restored a small crescent wrench that had been lost in a wet cellar for six months. When I found it it was nothing but a piece of solid rust. After soaking it in G96 for two months I brushed off the surface rust and slowly worked the screw back and forth until it now is fully functional. I have also used it to restore old muzzleloaders from rusted to beautiful. Best penetrating oil for loosening rusty nuts and bolts. Only complaint is the shipper did not package it properly and several cans leaked in transit. Not only did it waste product that I paid for, but the oil soaked packaging created a flammable hazard in shipping.

Great cleaner
I like the ease of using this gun cleaner and it does its job. I even spray my weapons occasionally even if they have sat for a year with no use. I know I'm keeping them lubed up. The scent really is pleasant as well.
