Parker IM Fountain Pen | Black Lacquer with Gold Trim | Fine Nib with Blue Ink Refill | Gift Box

I was searching for an alternative to my usual rollerball pens and discovered this beautiful Parker IM fountain pen. As I already own a Parker Sonnet pen, I was confident that this one would be of good quality. I was right. Its black lacquer body coupled with the contrast bright gold trim is truly stunning. I like the fact that the pen has a good weight to it. It is not substantial, but feels really comfortable. The barrel is exactly as I had hoped; it is thick which allows for a secure grip. The medium sized metal nib is robust and feels as though it could even outlast the pen! The writing experience is one of best I have ever had. Whether I choose to write with less or greater pressure, it is effectless and I feel no discomfort at all. The Parker IM Fountain Pen is a well designed and attractive writing instrument which is also very functional. I am pleased to recommend it.

I thought it was time to improve my writing after having used biros for years. Got this lovely Parker and you have to make a bit of an effort to keep your letters straight and the same size…… but that is what I need. Unfortunately I dropped my fine pen…… of course it fell on its nib and in despair I was going to write to you : Amazon to see if you could get me a new nib… I tried….unsuccessfully and In the meantime a friend has straightened it out but I am still hoping to get a new nib….. My nearest place is Glasgow and I don’t go there often as I am going to be 86 at the end of the month and I only drive in the countryside. It is a super pen anyway and it looks very professional I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their writing in good shape!!

Was fabulous until it broke inside. Writes like a dream, lovely weight. Then the internal bit snapped and so far I haven’t managed to contact Parker customer services. Website doesn’t work. Phone is never answered. Email address they gave me on Instagram is for India. I don’t think I’m getting a refund or a replacement. Very sad. I’ve used Parker all my life. EDIT: finally got hold of them and they sent me an entirely new pen. Still only four stars and not five because we don’t know if it will happen again.

I bought this pen three years ago and today it snapped in half.

Lovely to use a Parker fountain pen again after so many years of keyboard typing on the computer. Received my first Parker pen over 50 years ago as a birthday present from my mother for doing school homework and continued using a fountain pen well into the 1990s. The writing quality with the nib is still smooth and brings back memories of when a letter done by ink gave myself a satisfaction no computer keyboard could ever match. A very nice fountain pen well worth the purchase price.

Sometimes in this computersied world, it is just nice to use a pen and write. I've always liked fountain pens as you have to take that bit more care with your writing. Parker pens have always been a bit more expensive than other makes, but are very good quality. They feel good holding and writing with. This black and gold trim finish looks great as well. This would make a really nice present for someone.

The pen writes beautifully, incredibly smooth and lovely to watch the ink move to the page. In that aspect of the writing experience, it's wonderful. My issue is with the pen casing. It looks nice enough, but the plastic finish feels cheap and isn't nearly such a good experience. I wish I'd chosen one with a metal finish as that would be my personal preference. Fortunately the writing result makes up for thay disappointment.

Birthday present and my son was very pleased with it. Affordable and well presented.

Note: it does not come with the converter, which needs to be purchased separately at about 30 dollars. DO check online if you don’t know what a fountain converter is. Other than that, everything is fine.
