Whole is better than ground... it's like a different spice.I've had a love hate relationship with cardamom since a trip to India years ago. I've been trying for years to duplicate middle eastern chai tea. I haven't nailed it down 100%...but this was one of the missing ingredients. These were fresh and easy to cut up.

I had a new recipe for a cardamom cake and wanted to purchase some pods. I did find one small bottle at my local grocer, but this had more pods, I will say that I felt they were a bit small but that can be normal. I cut into the pods with scissors and scraped out the black seeds with a toothpick. They tasted fresh and turn a normal butter, egg, flour, sugar cake into something impressive!I do feel these are a bit pricey but that is typical for cardamom. I do recommend buying these as they can be delivered quickly. Most of your typical grocery stores do NOT have cardamom PODS and buying this bottle will allow you to bake your item quickly
