I purchased several sets to test for my grandson who wants to cut his own food!! These were the thinnest and most knife like (be careful as the point is pointy so it’s certainly not a toy but an EXCELLENT knife safety teaching tool. By far the easiest to handle for his little 4 year old hands.Again it’s something we allow him to use only while supervised and only with this particular grandchild who is very insistent on doing things himself and really is capable of using it properly! He even grasps the concept of how you curl your fingers when you dice and chop.Again not a toy! But an excellent learning tool for young chefs!!

My husband makes kitchen knives, so naturally my toddler sons want to use knives just like their daddy (and myself). These knives are safe alternatives to the real thing that do in fact cut like a regular knife. One of my sons used them to chop up shrimp and salad ingredients already! These knives are fantastic and are helping my sons stay safe while learning valuable kitchen skills!

The knives work great for cutting soft fruits and veggies, PB bread, etc. The end of the knife is pretty pointy, not really necessary, just a poke risk.

I am not a kid but these are great knives. I bought them to use for cutting lettuce. I have used them to cut all the vegetables for the salad. The colors are great. I have only hand washed them so I cannot say how they come out of my dishwasher. I like that I cannot cut myself with them. Very happy with the purchase.

We love the design. One piece molded knives, and so easy to wash up in the sink right afterwards. The colors are bright and cheerful. Sharp, but not as dangerous as other knives, and supervision will be needed all the same. But, they have a good grip and our little one, who is 5, uses them sitting at the table with us present, and and loves using them to cut up cooked potatoes, tomatoes, and to score tortillas wraps to break up into chips size triangles to bake. Very nice product.

I bought these for my 6 year old to be able to start learning some cutting independence and wanted knives that would be safe for her to use as well as proportioned to her size hands. Since these said kids knives I figured these were exactly what I was looking for and thought they would be a pairing knife and work up to maybe just larger than what would be used for a steak knife so they would all be a good size for her to use...boy was I wrong. The smallest sized knife that I thought would be like a pairing knife is about the size of a steak knife but heaftier and the largest knife isn’t even a safe size for a child to use! Also even though they are plastic they are pretty sharp and can cause some serious cuts so you still need to make sure you are using them with adult supervision and not thinking they are mearly child’s plastic knives. Would I purchase them again if I knew what I know now?? Nope, I would simply use regular knives and adult supervision.

I will admit that I was skeptical about how functional these knives would be, but was very happy when I received the product. I ordered them for my nephews to use as they are starting to help in the kitchen (ages 6, 8, 9). They were able to use the knives without hurting themselves and they LOVED being able to help chop veggies, cut cheesecake, and ice cream cake. The three sizes worked for everything they needed to cut but there was some discussion about not wanting to use the "pink one." We did use adult supervision with the 6 year old.
