Cool Juratex Jazz Guitar Picks 8 Pack (1.0mm)

I’ve played guitar for over 40 years, tried all shapes, sizes, materials etc. As time has passed I’ve found I like a smaller pick with more of a sharp point / attack. These picks feel great, they have a gripping quality so they don’t easily slip out of your fingers. So far they’ve been great, and literally the only picks I use.

I had been using a Jazz pick produced by ESP for a while, and it was my favorite pick in the world. However, I can only get them when in Japan, and even then they are hard to get. So I have been searching for an alternative - I have used everything: Dunlop (Ultex, Tortex, and Nylon Jazz IIIs), D'addario Black Ice, and even Chicken Picks and Blue Chip Jazz picks. While they are all good, nothing quite replicated the feel of my favorite ESP picks: Either they were not Acetyl or the size/shape was slightly different.Then I found these. They are identical to my favorite ESP pick, except they have a nice sand grip on them which is a nice bonus. Acetyl has a nice warm tone and grip the strings a little more when playing at an angle, but wears quicker than Ultem/Ultex. I would say, despite not being as fancy, Acetyl has the feel and tone I like in a pick - and now I've found the shape and size that feels best in my hand.

I bought these thinking the sandpaper like texture would keep the pick from turning in my grip. It didn’t. I have an Dunlop Ultex pick and that takes more time before it turns. Maybe it will work for others but not for me. Hope this helps.
