ABC Crochet: An Alphabet Collection of Amigurumi Animals

I totally agree with all the other reviewers about this book: really cute designs, and almost fraudulent advertising relative to "Crochet Patterns Included." Who wouldn't feel cheated and purposefully misled seeing this sort of language on the cover & in the description only to find a mere handful of patterns actually included, and those being mostly redundant, with details not touching on the most difficult and creative designs pictured! I give the book 2 stars because of those most creative designs, but truly unhappy about the deception. Yes, I did read the first review here and was forewarned, but I hoped I would be able to visually derive the missing patterns or close to them from the photos. Not so easy with only one photo each, but I'm still going to try. So, if I succeed, do I get to publish my "take" on what I saw as "my" pattern? Wouldn't the publisher want to have gotten a copyright on the patterns of Ms. Hoshi instead of only the photos? I don't think the publisher has a leg to stand on re subsequent patterns developed from mere photos in this book. It seems to me that not just we readers but additionally Ms. Hoshi herself stands to lose.

The pictures are great! Very cute. Will use it as a picture book in preschool for the alphabet! Was very disappointed that there is not a pattern for each animal. I would love to make each animal and thought that was what I was buying, but cannot make the alligator, iguana, newt, giraffe, unicorn.....The ones that have patterns are very cute! I hate to give it only 1 star but it was a big disappointment after waiting so long after purchasing with the pre-order. Wish there was a way to get the other patterns!

This book shows pictures of animals that don't have patterns included. I'm so bummed. I'm going to return this book. Why would you put pictures of the animal on the back cover and give an animal an entire full page spread, but then NOT have that pattern in the book? Super uncool. As another reviewer wrote: "I feel cheated" and I'd agree with that sentiment. I should have read the reviews on this book more closely. Not a happy customer. The animals are all REALLY cute... but sad to say that doesn't get me very far.

Does this book have patterns in it? Yes.Does this book have all of the patterns for the animals shown on the covers? No.It was a huge disappointment. I'm keeping it simply because you never know when the included patterns might be useful.

I ordered this book under the impression and from the description that it would contain patterns for every animal in the book. It does not. There are almost 11 pages dedicated to one bear and then 5 other patterns for animals that follow the same pattern as the bear.Animals shown in the book that it doesn't give patterns for include the Giraffe, Elephant, Unicorm, Frog, and 15 of the other animals listed in the book that lack patterns.Do not buy unless you just want to make one bear! I will be returning this.

This is more picture book than pattern book. Most of the animals shown on the book's cover and back aren't in the book. Only one full pattern, and it doesn't give step by step, just scribble.

I was extremely dissapointed when i opened up this crochet book. Although the pictures are colourful and fun, there is not a pattern for all of the animals. i regret purchasing this book and will be donating it to my local library.

With two pages per view in landscape I can't even see the print so couldn't review it either.Have loads of kindle books over three kindle readers and have never come across this before.It doesn't even allow you to change the font size. ALL other books do.

Very disappointed to find that only the basic patterns for the same style of round animals are included. Some of the more shaped animals are not included. The pictures and description of the book are very misleading.

This book does not give the patterns for the unusual animals featured in the 'Zoo'. All the patterns which are given have already been featured in her other books which I had already purchased so this book was no use to me at all.

Hadn’t seen only 10 animal patterns. And none are the ones I wanted from cover.Also it’s the drawn patterns not written.Disappointed as not what expected

I have perhaps failed to interpret this book correctly but the Kindle version I purchsed lacks most of the alphabet! I would be interested to see the hard copy. Very disappointing. Has put me off buying Kindle versions.
