Quote from the false advertisement: "The clear transparent acrylic is shattered proof" (sic). For $30 you would think you would get a great product because you can buy a nice glass or even crystal (if you're a good shopper) one for that. Less than 5 months after buying this, the clumsy round knob slipped out of my wife's hand and it fell a few inches onto the counter - and cracked! I contacted the seller, asking for a replacement, not a refund. The seller blamed Amazon's return policy for why they could not replace it. As a journeyman aircraft sheet metal mechanic I can tell you that when you drill a hole in sheet metal you create a weak spot that has to be carefully deburred; the same would hold true with plastic. The slick round knob is mounted onto the cheap plastic cover with a screw; it is not molded into the cover. What a piece of crap, and the greedy seller is too.

This was broken in five places upon arrival. Other than that it would have been a great display.

The main reason we purchased this product is because domes made of glass are very heavy to lift on and off. This dome is very lightweight yet still looks amazing for covering cakes and other deserts. I don't know that we will use it for all of the different configurations that are possible but it's nice to have the option. I would recommend it to senior citizens like myself because it weights a lot less than glass and is very safe if dropped.Sal.

I like the multi functions. We have cats so nothing is sacred. This allows me to cover select items to keep them out when we are not looking

Although its plastic it really is a good little set. Like that I can use more than one way.
