very useful
I love using this to dice onions. No tears and it slices them in fine pieces. You do have to make a horizontal cut across the slices to get a finer chop. But I am very pleased with this purchase and use it almost daily.

Quality and Ease of Use
This is my third Borner mandoline in 30+ years; the first one wore out, I gave to second one to a friend after having it for years. He uses it regularly.I guess I just wanted a red one.They are oh-so-sharp and easy to use and maintain. Buy it and be amazed at how easy it is to slice, chop anddice.

Excellent Quality – Still the Best After Many Years!
I first bought this slicer back in 1997! I used it almost every day for about 15 years, and the blades stayed sharp all that time. The plastic got a little damaged, so I bought a new version. My sister loved it so much that she took it from me, so I purchased another one for myself, and I’m very happy with it. Over the years, the quality of this slicer hasn’t gotten worse at all, only better and more convenient with each new version. I do have electric appliances, but sometimes it’s faster and easier to use this slicer.Highly recommend! 🌟

It is quite sturdy and sharp.
I was disappointed that it only came with one insert, but that is O.K. as I already have the other two. I have been using this brand mandoline for YEARS! I also give them as gifts.

Arrived without box
I was disappointed from the start - it arrived just wrapped in plastic which needed to be ripped off, without a box to keep all these items together. I think it's a shame for this relatively expensive item. I ended up not using it, & when I brought it to UPS they required to put it in a safe packaging, not to be damaged in shipping. So had to go back home, find a box & do a better job packing it than whoever sent it to me. The product itself is probably fine.
