Chromebook 315 Laptop, 15.6" HD Display, Intel Celeron N4020(Up to 2.8GHz), 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC, Intel UHD Graphics, 12.5H Long Battery, WiFi, Bluetooth, Chrome OS

Bought to replace a Dell Windows laptop that was giving me issues. I'm a senior user & I've had Chromebooks in the past; they are sufficient for my purposes and easy to use. I bought this model because my two adult children use same, mostly for business & college courses, so I knew it would serve my meager purposes!

Works as well as my 1,400.00 laptop, just a tiny bit slower but I think great value for money. If it breaks replacement is cheaper than repair. Very happy with this lap top. Will buy again if need be.

As an old lady with minimal technical skills, I'm not the best source for a review. But here goes. After I fixed it, I love it! It's a great little computer, giving me all the needed access to email, Google search and Facebook. I don't do much beyond that. What did I fix? Right out of the box, the screen was WASHED OUT. It was a contrast issue which made it very hard to read, in fact, so bad I would have returned it. Settings doesn't have the option to adjust contrast, which is weird in itself. Searching online, I found a number of similar complaints, and, thank goodness, a "fix" which was noted on Reddit. I followed the instructions exactly, and it worked perfectly. Oddly enough, the remarks on Reddit were three years old, and for whatever reason, Acer Chromebook hasn't fixed their current models. Holler if you need the instructions, or look for it on Reddit.

As ordered, easy to set up and connect to WiFi. Very functional and great battery life. The speakers deliver pretty decent sound for a laptop, not that tinny quality and the keyboard is quiet. The speed is that of a Chromebook but if you have tons of browsers open it does slow down. I can run three monitors with several windows open before I notice the slowdown.

Setting this up was a breeze, I like the screen size, and the ability to enlarge the type to help my senior vision. I am also glad that it is NOT a touch screen. My last one started to fail in the corner. It seems to charge very quickly and it is light weight. The screen on my last chromebook was only attached by two hinges and one broke off when it was dropped. This ACER appears to have the screen attached across most of the length of the keyboard.

I’m not very tech savvy, but I know Acer is a quality product, as the one I’m replacing has lasted ten years. I use it for creating documents and limited applications. It’s lightweight, has a long battery life the screen quality is excellent and it’s easy to set up. The price is hard to beat too!

Great purchase

The positives, it came in the original box & got here in one day. It is in very good condition, is clean & so far it seems to work well. Though it was not updated to current OS. The screen is a good size for streaming movies, and they keyboard is nice. Though if you get this & think the screen seems kind of seems to be washed out, you can change it from the default. If I had known this was actually 3 years old, which means updates will stop in 2029 (5 years from now), I would have paid less somewhere else, for a chromebook a few years old. Or bought this here, feeling better about it, if it had a honest description and cost less.

Bought for my elderly dad that doesn’t need the bells and whistles. The only thing I will pick on is to have better speakers.

Like just buy
