Amazing tool
Excellent quality and very robust. Makes fluffing up top soil and breaking up clods super easy and effortless. Also used to rough up bare areas of lawn for effective grass seed contact. Highly recommended.

Well made cultivator
Works well in the right conditions and can produce a tilth, it has a little weight to it which helps and seems well made.

Impressed
Used after scarifying lawn to make small holes for grass seed to fall into before spreading compost on the top. Worked really well. Rolled over surface easily and made holes in the wet earth. Very pleased. Looks reasonable well made and I anticipate it lasting well and being an essential part of my seasonal lawn care.

Not for aerating grass!
Blades need weight to penetrate. Even on soft ground centre blades fail due to rod bending. Only the blades closest to frame make sufficient depth. Maybe ok for tilling soil but no good on grass.

As described
Did the job, seems quite robust

Useful if you don't intent using it ...
The old adage of buy cheap buy twice comes back to strike. The "steel" frame is unable to cope with moderate use, buckling to the point that it becomes an obstruction to the teeth. Would avoid and just buy something better ... like shuriken in a block of butter.

Good quality solid garden tool, but does require some elbow grease to get the best out of it.
Not a bad garden tool and generally well made and study, definitely a consideration if you want to tart up your beds without buying a cultivator. It works very well in loose or damp soil, less so when used on ground that is dry, compacted or hard. With a bit of elbow grease it'll do the job well and the large width to it makes doing large chunks a lot easier than some of the smaller cultivator tools. I wouldn't recommend for your grandad unless he's a unit as it's more on the heavier side of things due to the robust metal rotary spikes on it.
