Q: I have a 13 ponds cat, will the 18 inch, be good for him?

Measure the hight and length of your cat and and make sure there is enough room for him to move around. My dog weighs 15 pounds and I got the 26". He is not cramped and loves his new "room". Best carrier on the market. Recommend.

Q: Would the Extra Small work for a kitten flying on a plane? They require the animal to be able to stand up with room above their heads and turn around.

I would think the Extra Small (18") would work for a small kitten. I have the "Small" (21"), and my big 16lb kittie had room to turn around, though not really stand up, but then we don't fly. Though the cage doesn't come open by accident, if your carrier is not going to be RIGHT with you, you want to secure the door, so someone doesn't "accidentally" open it. Travel safe!

A ferret may be able to escape easily

Q: Are the latches easy enough for a child (6 year old) to operate? My daughter is looking for a cage for her stuffed animals
