Birdwell Cleaning Toilet Bowl Brush with Handle

Thorough, Durable, Good
UPDATE: AUG 2019, purchased May 2018These toilet brushes have held up well. Please note that they did retain some slight yellowing after multiple uses in the beginning. They may have been “discolored’ but they worked well. I have lately noticed a blackening on the bristles, so I soaked them in hydrogen peroxide for an hour and they are back to normal. I’m not sure if it was mold or what, but they are used in a nasty toilet after all, and sometimes the toilet brush caddy has a puddle of water in it, so complete air-drying between uses was not occurring. I just purchased more of these brushes for additional restrooms.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This is such a good brush, I bought another one for the second bathroom. I wanted to try it out. The soft bristles fit easily under the back part of the toilet and where the seat attaches, to give a thorough cleaning. We have been using it for about 3+ months and it seems to be holding up fine. In my experience it's gentle enough - no scratches for us.Edited to add: It's Dec 2018 and I purchased earlier this year (May). I have NOT experienced the bowl scratching others have noted. I am not particularly mindful or gentle, either. I am STILL SATISFIED. Good brush.

Didn't hold up very long
Unfortunately this had to be replaced after 6 months and ended up in the dump which defeats the purpose of buying an eco-friendly item.I purchased this to replace my plastic toilet brush which I noticed was shedding micro plastics into the water. I was mostly happy with the immediate performance of this brush but the bristles became matted and misshapen after the first use. That became worse over time until it no longer worked. Further, the bristles took too long to dry and grew black mold. If you purchase this brush you'll need to use a hanger rather than a holder so that it can dry and not smash the bristles.I noticed a strange odor coming from the bristles when wet. The odor was subtle at first and not an issue when the brush was dry but that also grew worse over time.

Scratched my toilet and didnt clean
Was so excited to get this product in am effort to buy less plastic and be more environmentally friendly, but this brush is terrible. It barely cleaned my toilet, got bent, and scratched up my toilet bowl.

I'M FURIOUS!!! Just bought this for our renovated brand spanking new bathroom. First time I used it it scratched a huge black scratch into the toilet bowl. The toilet which was new...is now ruined. Please do not purchase this product. I've never in my life been more upset with an Amazon purchase.

Birdwell Toilet Bowl Brush
I've ordered this brush before and it's really nice; however, it arrived with the bristles smashed. It was crammed into a bag. I need it now, so I am keeping it and will try to make it work, without scratching the toilet bowl. (It has metal wire inside the bristles.) However, they need to package it better in the future. It's a shame to take something nice and to ruin it by taking a short cut on packaging.

It's ok
It's an ok product. The bristles bend and it feels soft when I'm cleaning the toilet. Maybe because I'm used to using the plastic toilet bowl cleaners. It's held up pretty good so far. You do need to find something to put this in or maybe a hook to hang it dry.

Bummed.
I wanted to love this product because it’s plastic free, but I don’t. It scratches our toilet and just doesn’t clean well. The bristles all stayed bent on one direction after I scrub my toilet with force.. Will not be purchasing again.

A Good Eco-Friendly Option!
Love this more eco-friendly alternative and definitely! My only con is that the bristles did start falling out after a couple of uses, which wasn't custom to the non-eco-friendly ones I had used prior.
