Works fine.
I like the fact that you can view them in categories, find out what your chances of winning are, can be categorized into easy to hard. LOTS of interesting games. :-)

Great fun with Pretty Good Solitaire
I really enjoy these games. I read reviews and expected small, unclear graphics. I found that you can enlarge the size of the cards by selecting options and change the size. They are not as sharp as the Microsoft graphics but I don't feel that is important. There are almost 700 games and I have found new favorites. The one thing I have trouble with are the instructions. The language is odd and I get confused with the use of "tableaus" and "foundations". Other than that it is great.

Junk!!
I've purchased thousand of items from Amazon over the past few years. I can say without a doubt, this is the worst piece of junk I'ver ever received. I should have heeded the negative reviews. I wanted a solitaire game for my elderly parents on their new computer. This arrived. No directions with it. I installed and, as other reviewers have reported, at the end of the install process the game launches and tells you you need to pay $25 more to upgrade to the full version. It says this is a trial version. I was quite upset. I tried the trial game, just to see how it was and the graphics are so pixelated, it looks like a software program out of the early 80s on a dos computer. Cards are small and I would have been laughing if I wasn't so upset for being blatantly ripped off. I can't believe they are selling this thing for almost $30 bucks. It is worse than something you'd get from an old yard sale. I called their help support number and it rings forever without even an answering machine. I almost just threw it in the trash and chalked it up to bad luck, rather than waste my time trying to send it back. Then I looked and Amazon again and saw that I paid $20 something bucks for it. I am returning it tomorrow. Unless you like to get ripped off, stay clear of this junk. It's bad enough that it installs as a trial, but the fact that the software itself is so bad makes me steaming mad. Junk!!

Pretty Good Solitaire
This package is over kill on the number of Solitaire games. Each has it's own set of rules. I would be in my grave by the time that I learned how to play all the games. It was easy to install. Also, the path to each game is easy. I still can not find an equal to the old 1990s Hoyle card game package.

The Best I Have Found So Far
"Pretty Good" is an accurate name for this product. There are some baffling missing features and some improvements over other solitaire games I have encountered.PROS: Most electronic solitaire games give the player a cycle of Klondike games, after winning one or a few games in near succesion, the frustration level increases till one or more games with not a single card that can be played happen, then an increasing level of playable cards till one or more games can be won and then back again. Statistically, this is quite artificial. Pretty Good does not seem to follow this pattern. It also seems to have more practical user settings. The game seems to have an active online function of sharing and competing on the internet. At least it does not force online gamesmanship like Microsoft and their Xbox obsession which hijacks scores and which can take control of games in certain situations and force a loss. In my case, I have no interest in playing solitaire "against" anyone or sharing scores. In my opinion, that is sort of the meaning of what solitaire is supposed to be. I do not think I should force my opinion on anyone else, and appreciate that this game does not try and force me to join a community I prefer not to be a part of.C0NS: The "help" function is practically useless, in that it does not "suggest" but plays a card, even if several playable combinations are available. The "help" function is most usefull if it can be used to point out possible plays so a player can concentrate on strategy rather than devoting their attention to finding all the possible plays. Most people I know who play versions of solitaire do so for relaxation, not for intense involvement with the game or eyestrain. The graphics look closer to the old DOS operating system than modern Windows, but are quite serviceable. The game does not know when to quit and let the player know there are no more useful moves, however that is better than the latest iteration of Microsoft Solitaire which does not hesitate to announce a game over and discontinue letting one play when there are obvious plays yet to be made. The dissappointment here is in that so far, I have been unable to find any machine loadable solitaire games that are any better. For people on a data plan, playing online can become expensive, and I choose to only play games I can operate with the wifi turned off.T

Good games!
I have played Eric's Ultimate Solitaire by Delta Tao Software for years and enjoyed it immensely. It no longer works on Windows 8.1, so I decided to try Pretty Good Solitaire, Amazing! 840 varieties at all kinds of skill levels. Definitely worth the money! Also glad it comes on a CD/ROM rather than just a download so I'll be able to find it when I update my computers.

Great for Solitaire Lovers!
Pretty Good Solitaire has numerous games that I like, but I do not like the Spider Solitaire as well as the game that came on Windows XP and Windows 7. My new computer has Windows 8.1 and no longer had my Spider game downloaded, so Pretty Good Solitaire was a good replacement. I would recommend this product for anyone looking for a variety of Solitaire games.

Great Software
It took a while to find a good selection of card games so I was well pleased when I purchased this disc, it works well in both my elderly computer (XP) and laptop (Vista) and now I'm spoilt for choice in what to play, there are so many games and variations on it. All games are well explained 'how to play' so you do not have to try to work them out for yourself. This has to be the best piece of software of it's type, I have ever bought and very addictive too, a lot of late nights ahead with the many challenging games on here !!

Neither pretty nor good
This is a big compilation of all possible solitaire games, probably from the times when the hard drive could barely reach a Gb.The graphical design is so crude as drawn by a kid. This could still be acceptabe if one is addicted to playing solitaire.Unfortunately the games are not quite compatible with the new Windows (8 or 8.1) and the cards simply disappear when you don't place them slowly and precisely on the intended space. The return button reverses your last movement, but it doesn't restore the card that disappeared from the table.Summarising - a great project, but the execution is poor. The games just cannot be properly played.By the way, the CD disc comes almost empty (56Mb), with just a web address to download a new version.I consider it a cheat. It goes back thanks to Amazon policy.

Card Games
I was indeed delighted with this Disc as I had searched on the web to down load - what a mess they were in.To have this disc it was easy to find what you wanted and new games too. My wife was delighted to find her favourite game on it.Yes it is an excellent buy. Thank you.

Solitaire
Not exactly as I had hoped. Hundreds of games but each one with different rules. By the time you have worked out how to play it you have got tired of it.
