RAAD regulated DC 9V AC/DC power supply adaptor tip negative center class 2 transformer replacement for boss PSA-230 PSA-240

I bought this ages ago as a spare, and never had occasion to use it until recently, but here is the story...I was messing around with a new loop pedal I had bought and used this supply to power it and experienced no problems in use. However, I forgot to unplug the power supply when I'd finished, and didn't happen to go back into the room where it was until 6 days later. On entering the room I could hear a buzzing sound like an angry bumble-bee stuck in a shoe box, and couldn't figure where it was coming from. I tried switching the lights off - no joy. Went over and checked my amplifiers - nope. Then I noticed that the power outlet in which the RAAD was plugged was on. Surely that little red box could not be making all that noise? You bet it was! and what's more when I put my hand on it to unplug it it was really quite hot.OK, I accept I should not have left it plugged in, so my fault there. However, I let it cool down, then tried plugging it in in a different socket, just to eliminate the possibility that it was a faulty socket, but within a few seconds, the buzzing was back, and the unit had started to heat up pretty rapidly.As a result, I simply don't trust this unit. Maybe I just got a unlucky with a bad one, but I'll stick to known brands in future and put this down to experience.

Get one of these!!! you wont regret it. Makes no noise and is well made. I spent a lot of time trying to find a decent unit and stumbled across this on amazon. The company that sells these are well informed and great communicators they answered my questions very quickly and were very happy for me contact them if I needed further advice, this coupled to the great people on the amazon community that provided great advice meant this was the psu was the one for me. I have just hooked it up and its as quiet as a mouse great in a studio and is very well made Brilliant!!!

Excellent power unit, works well with the Ditto x2 looper, No hum at all when connected and in use, tough enough to withstand gig use as its well constructed. The red colour makes it easy to find in the gig case and more important that's its the correct power unit for my looper or other pedals. Don't buy cheap as I have done in the past, you only get what you pay for. I can recommend this.

Fantastic, straight out of the box and plugged it into the board for 2 dates here in Blighty and 16 dates across Europe, half of which were festivals, no noise or issues and I play without a noise gate. I am very happy with it, so much so, I bought another.

This is an excellent psu. I've bought several RAAD psu for my pedals. They're very low noise and reliable.I've found them perfect. I think they possibly use some old school electronics inside that lend themselves to low noise and long life.I always buy the highest rated current version so there's less risk of over-heat or volt-drop.Great price too.

Works well no noise good product

Product arrived promptly. It feels well made. I purchased it to power a Boss BR-600 multi-track recorder and it does the job perfectly.Highly recommended!

At last one that works with my Dan Electro vibrato pedal.Think it should be a bit cheaper though.
