Trixie Natural Living Play and Burrow Tower, 20 × 20 × 16 cm

I bought it for my syrian hamster with the intention of creating a hiding spot for him. It's perfect in size, very sturdy, acrylic panels are of good quality as well. My hamster loves it so much that he decided to move out of his previous house and ever since he's been sleeping in this "burrowing tower". I love the idea of acrylic walls - you can see what your pet is up to without disturbing them. As you can see in the attached photo it can be used not only as a burrowing tower, so I'd say it's a pretty versatile product. I think there's as well a smaller version available, but if you own a syrian definitely go for the bigger one. Good price for the quality.

I bought this for the mouse I’m adopting, and it’s not a bad size. To be honest, I’m glad I didn’t get the giant one to begin with. It’s well made, and with a bit of extra sanding on the entrances and edges, safe.I’ve bought a lot of different wooden and barked hides & toys for my animals, regardless of brand, there’s always a chance of scratches or splinters. So keep that in mind before getting a small pet, you’ll be sanding the edges off of their things just in case, which isn’t a big job, but a lot of people skip it (or just aren’t aware they need to.)With that out of the way, I’d give this a four star rating overall and recommend it for mice and dwarf hamsters. Syrian hamsters and gerbils would need more space, and get more use out of the bigger ones (plus, they’re only about £3 more.) The upside to this dig box is how the base slides out for easier cleaning. I hope this review helped someone 🐁

Quite a pointless product for a Syrian hamster to be honest, I bought it thinking it would be a practical play pen type thing for when I take my hamster out of its cage, turns out it's incredibly messy and uneconomical for a hamster to spend time in it since you have to fill it up with alot of wood-chips, if your hamster poops then you have to empty all the bedding out and refill; quite a waste of time and resources.I can see how this was put together, somewhat robust (but still took quite a beating from my hamster, so don't think it's permanent). The ladder was a mess, the hinge which you hook onto the main digging box was crooked and so isn't stable when attached and wobbles or just falls off; which isn't the most enticing thing for a hamster. Also, it goes without saying that this is a tall toy and couldn't be put into a hamster cage without taking up all if not a ridiculous amount of space (don't confuse it for a huge playpen or something, just imagine a shorter version of a vertical bread-bag).Overall, fine in theory but a waste of money and time dealing with it, trust me, stop trying to posh up your hamster cage and just enjoy your hamster, make something yourself with cheap wooden chew safe materials and your hamster will love it.

I purchased this tower as I had had six female gerbils (rescued from being snake food). It soon became transparent that they were not going to get on. Having researched this topic I found that females are the worst. I had to seperate them into 3 groups of 2 and therefore had to buy fish tanks. I wanted to have something that they could live in their natural habitat and this is it.I have one so far and Nutmeg and Gracie absolutely love it. they sleep together in it, wash in it and play there. the only other item they love is their trixie wheel! I am about to purchase another one for another set of Agouti gerbils I have which is Mom and 3 daughters and I just know they'll love it too.Guaranteed and good purchase and the price is very good too.Caitliln

Just received mine and the plastic is extremely dirty and has a crack in it. The glue is visible and spilling from multiple places. And the ladder doesn't fit in properly either as one leg floating a little once hooked.I am going to try get a new one sent over to me since I really wanted one and maybe this specific one was a faulty product then I might remove this review. But don't want to have to pay shipping costs again. Will try return it otherwise.

Definitely recommend for any hamster that loves to dig and you don't have a deep enough house for them. Our hamster loves it, really well designed and sturdy.

Visible glue on item. Outside of wood flaked away very quickly and if wet takes a very long time to dry as seems quite a soft wood. Unfortunately would not rebuy as there are better constructed options out there without visible glue

Wir haben das Nagerhaus für unsere vier Mäuse gekauft.Es kommt bei denen sehr gut an, auch wenn sie sich nur selten von oben bis unten durchwühlen (sind halt keine Wühlmäuse) 😉Die Qualität ist gut und stabil und wenn sie mal Wühlen, kann man es durch die Plexiglasscheibe schön erkennen.

My mice love this little tower. I fill it up loosely with care fresh bedding and they go in through both the top and bottom to dig it up and find places to sit/sleep.

Bought this tower for my syrian hamster and it's perfect! I filled it with coconut and hemp substrate. She's now burrowing throughout her cage, and she uses this toy everyday.The package arrived earlier than expected and in perfect condition. I really appreciate that fragile labels were used.
