Jr. Astronaut Space Boots Child Costume Accessory - Medium

Got these to go with my son’s Halloween costume. They look cool, but aren’t necessarily a must if you have a good costume. I got them instead of buying black shoes/boots for his costume, but he wore his costume at school without them and it was fine. He only wore them at home for Halloween. They are a little hard to work with - found it best to put the boots on first and shoes after.Overall, they are icing on the cake for sure, but not a dealbreaker if the rest of your costume is on point.Sizing was weird. I measured his shoes (9T) and they were slightly longer than the smallest size per the size chart. Ordered the small size anyway and they fit fine.

I'm 23 years old and wear a women's size 7 shoe; the largest size of these boots can fit over my most slim shoes. I was able to just fit the pair of red shoes into the boot with a little trouble. However, the grey shoe pictured is cheaper with a very thin sole and was able to slip into the boot (even while wearing the shoe) easily. I opted for the slimmer shoe so I have the option to slip out of them if it got annoying to wear long term.I haven't been able to find any adult sized astronaut boots and am really happy the boots are big enough for me. If your feet are a little bigger, I'm sure you can remove the elastic on the bottom to still fit. (I also read a review from someone here who said they cut the elastic and used electrical tape to secure a bigger fit). The slim size 7 shoe fits inside without stretching the boot, but the elastic underneath does hug the shoe closely pulling the edges of the boot under my shoe a bit when I walk.Overall, this was a great purchase and beats settling for simple black boots like my original plan. The patches are nice and the boot looks "real"/fits with other astronaut costumes and my diy approach. Can't wait to finish putting my costume together!

Purchased for my son as a part of a costume however he liked it so much he wears it often around the house. Great material and very durable.Only this is they are a bit over size.

I ordered this and other astro-gear for my son way back in February because he knew he wanted to be an astronaut for Halloween but also wanted to get some use out of it before then. As it happens, he had a chance to meet a real NASA astronaut (Erik Boa) and dressed up in his costume for the meet and greet. Even got his picture in the paper for that one.Anyway, the costume, including the gloves, boots and backpack are sturdy enough to hold up to the adventures of a 9 year old boy. We've washed them a couple of times and didn't notice any appreciable fading. After Halloween there were some visible scuff marks on the black "leather" parts of the boots and gloves. Four stars for the gloves and boots since they are a bit less durable than the other parts. The backpack was terrific for holding his candy and the straps held even with the pack more than half full.The helmet serves. It's nothing fancy. The movable visor was a hit but everything else is just a decal. It goes well enough with the costume and has survived countless drops and bounces intact so far.Definitely feel like I got my money's worth out of the gear.

If your child is dressing up like an astronaut, just go ahead and get these shoe covers to complete the look! They are 100% worth it! *One tip: put the shoe in the shoe cover first and then put the shoe on…makes it much easier

These were the final purchase to complete my son's astronaut costume. I have bought different pieces the last few years since each piece can be expensive and all together it wasn't something we could afford to buy all at once. He now has the suit, helmet, gloves, boots and a jetpack I made for him. The first year he just wore the suit, I bought it a little large, and the helmet. Last year I made a jet pack, and this year is the best overall look, the whole thing together finally!These astronaut boots, size large, were the perfect fit for his size 4 tennis shoes and hiking boots. These boots are not actual boots, they are just boot covers that go over your shoes. There are no actual bottoms, just two elastic straps to hold the boots in place. They can be difficult to get on. The best way to do it is to put your regular shoes on, then slip these over your shoes, sticking your shoe between the two elastic straps as you pull it up. He had trouble getting these on at school by himself because he was trying to stick his shoe into the boot and down. He was finally able to do it with some help, but it is so much easier to just put your regular shoes on first, then these. He really liked the drawstring at the top of the boots, it kept the suit pants tucked in all afternoon at school and all evening while out trick or treating. He will be able to play in these for probably another year before he grows out of them. The elastic has not shown any wear from Halloween itself. If it does, it will be easy to replace.I purchased these astronaut boot covers on Amazon, paying full price for them. I find it helpful to read other people's reviews when I am considering purchasing something, so try and write reviews for my online purchases too. Be careful when tightening the boots- the plastic snapped off immediately when I put them on my son. I didn't bother to return because they boots still worked and the event was that evening. Kind of cumbersome to get on and off- wouldn't recommend using these if your kid is going to go between different bounce houses at a pumpkin patch. There's elastic on the bottom so the idea is that you wear your regular shoes with it, which is great, but definitely think about which activities your kid will take part in. They were super adorable, though, and really completed the astronaut look. I saw a few kids in astronaut costumes wearing regular shoes and was happy I bought these. Perhaps if the price was lower I'd give it another star.
