YUHOVES USB Flash Drive 10 Pack 512MB with Keychain - Silver (YH-2101/512MB)

Used to distribute a booklet. Did not need a full 4 GB drive commonly available at most stores.

Description on product states UBS Flash Drive 10 pack 512MB w key chain. Each flash dive is not 512 MB, the 10 pack USB Flash Drives total up to the 512MB. They need to state this clearly.

Good, but several of them unusable. Not able to format or use.

This specific Yuhoves USB2 flash drive product version seems to be well built. Note that there is another version of this product which does not have the key ring and has a different case design. I bought a pack of 10 of the model which has the shiny chrome finish and the key ring. The flash drives arrived neatly packaged inside a foam lined box. The shiny chrome finish and laser etched details are pleasing to my eyes. I have read reviews of some or all of the received 10 pack of flash drives being bad. I immediately formatted all 10 of these flash drives with no issues, and all 10 formatted to the same capacity. I then performed some write tests. The write speed, regardless of whether you plug these flash drives into a USB2 or USB3 interface, tops out at 4.04MB/second. This isn't shabby at all. Note that the default format is FAT and not FAT32 or NTFS. I specifically wanted FAT since my intention is to use these flash drives for updating the BIOS in computers. The reason for my 4 star rating is that I need to test these flash drives over time, given some very negative reviews for this product.
